Hot spring Hotels in Kitaazumi District

The good thing is that the hot spring water, especially the open-air bath, was smooth and the quality was better than I expected. The other issue was that the walls separating the rooms were thin, and I could hear the music from the next room, making it difficult to sleep. Also, although the open-air bath closed at 24:00, the quality of the spring water was so pleasant that I wanted to take a bath in the morning. The late breakfast start time of 7:30 was also a bit inconvenient for hiking. However, overall, the host (husband and wife?) have worked hard to maintain a high value for money, and we can recommend it.

Service and hygiene have always been of Japanese standard. The brother at the front desk is still driving in the snow and we go to the convenience store to buy things. Location, 5 minutes to Wulong Snow Resort, it was an excellent location. But what needs to be done is the big environment. Because I used to go to Niseko, Hokkaido, there are very convenient restaurants, shopping, and convenience stores nearby. But Baima Wulong is very barren here. We stayed 5 nights (late Feb) in a room with twin beds and an additional lounge/bed. Room was clean and very spacious with a couple of chairs and table to sit and look out at the mountain view (worth asking if this is available). Was great to look out in the morning to see what weather to expect. Bathroom had separate shower room with a bath tub, separate toilet room and then basin area. Onsen very good. Ski storage and drying room together in one big room - can lock skis, although no one worried about it. Owner of the hotel provides wonderful care for the guests offering advice on the area, timetables, restaurant recommendations, called ahead helping us with our next leg of the journey and even cooked (he is an accomplished chef) a degustation dinner for us and another couple - delicious!! Get your lift passes through the hotel for a good discount. We typically walked the 10min to the bus terminal when going to other mountains and put our shoes in an on mountain locker (200 or 300 yen) while skiing which made travelling around more comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was very plentiful with many options - always an egg dish, hot dishes, japanese breakfast, toast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee & tea and much more. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

The room is not small for Japan, it is clean and the view outside the window is beautiful. The service is friendly and there is a semi-open-air private hot spring. Although there is no scenery, it is still very comfortable to take a bath after skiing. The restaurant and bar are both very nice. I met the owner and had a pleasant half-day, half-English chat with him. The owner also treated me to many drinks. The only downside is that there is no elevator, which makes it a little troublesome to move luggage. If you want to eat at the restaurant, remember to make a reservation one day in advance.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for the purpose of mountain climbing in Hakuba. The food buffet had many varieties and was delicious. It was easy to go to a restaurant and eat in my yukata and slippers. The view from the room is also good (I stayed on the 5th floor, the top floor). The open-air hot spring bath also feels great (though it's only large enough for 3 people). The room has a small kitchen and microwave, which seems convenient for long-term stays (I didn't use it for two nights this time). The hotel was clean and not too big in a good way, and there were lots of beautiful flowers at the entrance, giving it a relaxing atmosphere like a Swiss mountain hut. It was very good.

The breakfast is very good and dinner can also be settled at the hotel. With the child 7 years old, you can live in the twin room, but the site has added extra money. When you place the order, you can't say clearly that you want to add it. It is very dissatisfied. In addition, I don't know if I have already deducted a previous fee for the previous order. The site paid the full amount anyway, and the credit card bill came out and checked. The location of the hotel is on the edge of the village, but the village is not big, but instead it is close to the high road, and it is very quick to go out from a road in the snow. The spa bathroom is very comfortable with large pools and outdoor pools. Ski can be placed in the basement, snowshoes, coin-operated clothes.

Did a super short one night vacation with my family and this place was great. I'm not into onsens, but it was nice to have it for my daughter and wife. They loved it. I loved the views in the morning. We came in on a rainy day, but the morning was incredible! The Hakuba valley area is gorgeous and the view from the room was nice to wake up to. As a previous Hilton and Marriott hotel staff, I was very happy to see the staff service on point. The front desk must have good communication with the kitchen staff because they knew I was coming, and my god the food was awesome. Even if I go back for a day trip to Hakuba, I'll hit up the Hakuba Taproom at the bottom of the hotel. The burgers were super satisfying, and the tacos were awesome. I only tried three of the beers they had (too full), but the beer selection was also good. Looks like craft beers from all over Japan. There's a patio area for eating and drinking, and there are activities mixed in. Convenient for my kids.
