Hotels with Breakfast in Kitasaku District

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with all proper amenities. The atmosphere of the whole hotel was cozy, intimate, and quaint, with an interior as one might expect at a country hotel in England. The owner, Chris, very kindly gave us a ride to the train station as we went sightseeing on our first day as well as after we checked out. (Though the walk from Naka-Karuizawa Station isn't too bad if you're going by train; about 15 minutes.) The meals were excellent (breakfast and dinner). There's also a nice garden with lounge chairs where you can relax and take in the greenery. Also, check out the world map in the restaurant which has marked upon it the many countries Chris has visited and lived in, as well as photos from his travels. Another thing we really appreciated was the background music in the restaurant, mostly 60s and 70s British rock, and that the music was always at a low enough volume to allow proper conversation. (Too many places these days just blast the volume on the music.) We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Karuizawa.

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

The location is very good, you can take a walk along the river downstairs. The room is large, the river view room has beautiful day and night views, the hardware facilities in the room are beautiful and reasonable, including the shower button, the lighting mode, etc. It is more comfortable to use, the hair dryer is Dyson's, very easy to use. The staff are very warm, feel value for money, and will choose to stay again.

I stayed here for one night with my wife and our Pomeranian. The room was a reasonable size and the facilities were standard, but the floor area was large compared to the room area, and the dog seemed comfortable without getting tired. For dinner, I ordered a course meal at the hotel's steakhouse for 6,500 yen per person, but it was beyond my expectations in terms of taste and volume. In addition to the wide variety of drinks (optional), salad (optional), soup (optional), T-bone steak, and sweets, each item is large enough to feed three people. I'm usually a small eater, but everything was delicious. Each dish was seasoned so carefully that I couldn't stop using my fork. When I checked out, the male front desk staff greeted me politely and I was able to have a very enjoyable stay. I usually visit Karuizawa for work, so next time I would like to use the hotel's conference room for a training camp with my colleagues.

I have been in a small hotel for 6 years but it is very new and warm. The room has a humidifier, air conditioning is silent, there is unlimited drinks, coffee and tea, and all facilities are very good. The hotel also has a supporting restaurant, which is good for food, lodging and transportation.

Kei Otowa Hotel is very close to the Karuizawa Shinkansen Station and has convenient transportation. The hotel has a scheduled bus to pick up guests to the station, which is a 3-minute journey and very punctual. This is the second hotel I chose to stay in on this trip. I have a good impression. The hotel is a French white building with a very European style. It is divided into the old and new building areas. The old building is being renovated. This time I stayed in the new building. The wooden staircase, the room is not too big or small, clean, and all toiletries are available. You can see the autumn scenery outside the window. There are 2 sets of breakfast to choose from, 4 different varieties of French bread and cakes, with Kei Otowa Forest's special orange and strawberry jam (available in the hotel's small shopping mall), which really surprised us foodies. It was so soft and freshly baked that it was too delicious. I remember it deeply. Breakfast was in a large restaurant. After careful observation, except for us, most of the people staying were RB people who came to Karuizawa for vacation. There is a small garden outside the hotel. The clear blue sky, fresh air, red and yellow leaves and fallen leaves are so beautiful that I can't express them in words. The hotel service is also good. If you ask about the restaurant, they will lead you in person. Turn left from the gate to the station, and turn right to go to Karuizawa Old Street, where there are various shopping stores and food stores. There is also a small road behind that is a rich area. The names of the villas are written on the door, but they are all empty. It is said that Karuizawa is the back garden of the rich in Japan, and it is true. We walked for more than 1 kilometer in the morning. The environment was very quiet and the air was excellent. I will stay in this hotel again if I have the chance.

In Karuizawa, I usually stay at a hotel in front of the genre, but sometimes I change my intention... and stay here in the Japanese style room. A hotel is a cottage even in front of the genre, so there are some places where the distance to walk skiing is long, but it is convenient because it sends you to the front of the ski center. Also, if you eat at the outlet early in the evening, you will still be in time for free transfer bus time, so you can not walk on the snowy road at night. The restaurant in the hotel is clean and delicious, and lunch is very recommended.

輕井澤JR 步行距離可到，會經過familymart 和Lawson,過河後轉右轉入小路就是。酒店周邊很靜，找吃的只有車站附近的店，Lawson 已算是最近可採購食的地方，或再向中輕井澤方向走一段路會有一間麥當勞。酒店是有年代的新式溫泉酒店，𣎴是很傳統那種，日式房間，房內有附樽裝水，有廁所，但沒浴室，房間內沒有風筒。浴場在地下，夜晚11時關，早上10時關，女浴場只得3個梳妝鏡位，人多會擁擠。所有客房在2樓，只有樓梯。有會說英語的外籍員工。酒店設施有點年份，但尚算清潔光亮，房內天花燈有遙控調較光暗，職員非常有善。我們晚上才到酒店，還沒吃飯，職員很用心的幫我們張羅到食堂用餐，食堂本來快要關門的。租單車和checkout 後放行李要另外付錢。車站也有寄物櫃，北口地下細格300 yen。可放1日。在日本連假到訪，還要較遲才找酒店，這家酒店是價錢貴得來有空間感的選擇。
