Good location with secure parking. Within easy walking distance of many bars and restaurants including the waterfront area. We had a spacious room with comfortable seating area. There was also a lovely seating area immediately outside and an outdoor seating area on the first floor level with lovely views. The whole place was spotless. Breakfasts were good with a good selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast and cooked options available. Richard and Mandy who run the guest house are lovely people and are interest to hear about your day and offer suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and stay here again if in the area.

I cannot say enough about the time we enjoyed at the Knysna Manor House in Knysna, South Africa! The innkeepers, Richard and Mandy Pope, were such gracious hosts, and catered to our every need. Their delightful, historic home is warm and inviting, and equipped with everything a traveler might need. Breakfast each morning was a feast, with such variety and choices. Richard and Mandy made special accommodations when our group had unique needs and time restraints. It was a beautiful place with a restful, warm ambience. I hope to go back! Jo Davis, Florida

Mandy & Richard are wonderful hosts. Our room was lovely and clean. We had a refrigerator and a kettle, with tea and instant coffee available. Breakfast each morning was delicious and there were many options available. They had lots of brochures with information about places to visit in Knysna. I will stay again on my next visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Knysna Manor House and would give it more than 5 stars if we could! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients – a true highlight of our day!

What a beautiful location. I loved the homely atmosphere. Reminded me so much of childhood visits to grandparents. Very nostalgic for me to be surround by furniture and decor that was so familiar. Really a beautiful place.

Location is nice enough. The owners are very friendly and outgoing. Suppose most of the rooms upstairs has a nice ambience and seems bright, but the rooms in the basement is really not that nice. They are old and worn down, dark and with barred windows. Has a mild scent of mold. So if one gets to stay in the rooms upstairs i suppose its a good place to stay when visiting Knysna. Breakfast wasnt my favorite, Choice of full English, omelette or French toast - had French toast, felt more like a savory eggy dish than sweet French toast.
