We found everything we had hoped for in our Christmas getaway at Castaway Resort on Koh Lipe. Beautiful garden setting only steps from the beach. Amazing snorkelling right in front of the resort (but don't miss diving with Castaway Divers too). A lovely, attentive team takes great care of the resort and guests, we loved hanging out at the restaurant overlooking Sunrise Beach for hours on end. Castaway Resort quickly turned into our tropical home away from home for our 10 day stay. Super family friendly und unhurried atmosphere, even during their Christmas peak. We hope to be back! (We booked our stay+scuba diving directly via email and their fabulous reservations team handled everything perfectly, including our minivan/boat transfers).

We loved the traditional simple eco friendly style, the staff are all very lovey and great at their job. Everything is available for you to have a great time, they are very knowledgeable and only want you to have the best time! We loved the relaxed vibe and the dogs and cats that happily played and visited us each day. Amazing to have free snorkel and fins to use as the reef is right in front of the hotel. The only thing we would advise is ear plugs, if you are an early to bed kind of person, as we are, Koh Lipe has become more lively so expect a bit of music at night, but nothing too crazy!

Although our vacation was filled with joy and memorable moments, I must mention the only downside we encountered. The lack of sufficient lighting outside at night posed a safety hazard, as my wife unfortunately tripped and hurt her ankle. However, it is worth noting that the resort staff responded swiftly and provided immediate assistance, ensuring she received the necessary care. While this incident was unfortunate, it did not overshadow the overall fantastic experience we had at Irene Resort. In conclusion, our vacation at Irene Resort in Koh Lipe was an extraordinary experience. The impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and the island's natural beauty left us with lasting memories. We highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a romantic and rejuvenating getaway. The overall price of the island is expensive, not the peak season, 208 yuan a night can understand, but many basic details are not done well, I feel that the boss is more tricky. First, the bathroom is not even attached to a hook. When the bath is taken, there is no place for the towel. Second, the bedroom doesn't even have a trash can. Every time you throw garbage, you have to go to the toilet to throw it. The toilet has more humid mosquitoes, which is very inconvenient. Third, the entire inn didn't even have a hair dryer. The reason was that the weather was hot and the hair was dry or fanned. Fourth, the room does not provide any covered bedding. The temperature on the island in the middle of the night is 22~23 degrees. It is easy to catch a cold when lying down and sleeping. The front desk also said that there is no reason. The reason is that the weather is not hot. Ok, I lived on the island and provided a blanket hair dryer. All of these things have reasons for not providing them, but if you are not satisfied with it, it’s not that you have the final say, those things that cost a few dollars for tens of dollars.
