Kalimera Mare

I had such a special and welcoming stay at Kalimera. Absolutely no complaints about my stay, the service was wonderful. From a slight booking hiccup to, getting me a taxi back home to the airport and everything inbetween. I was travelling solo but I was part of a wedding held in nearby Mitis hotel resort and it was so easy to get to, by bus, taxi or walking. Food, wonderful. Room & bed, so comfortable. All the staff, happy, friendly, professional & helpful. A special thank you to Cosmo and Valeria for making me feel so welcome. Thank you ever so much 😊

Wonderful hotel in a great location ie quiet. The hotel was impressively clean and very well maintained in all areas, the rooms, grounds, pool, restaurants, terraces, car park - everywhere. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts were brilliant and evening meals were tasty and varied. We hired a car which the hotel arranged for us to collect and drop off in the hotel car park. We had a fantastic time. Our room had a sea view, a fridge, kitchen sink, hairdryer and a good rang of toiletries. The ambiance of the hotel was friendly, safe, happy and incredibly welcoming. Kos was well worth the visit. Some days it was rather windy but a short trip to another part of the island solved that.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Kalimera Mare and we are already looking to book for next year, that tells how much we enjoyed it. Every single member of staff were incredibly friendly and very hard working. The hotel was spotlessly clean though out. The rooms were very comfortable and were cleaned very well everyday, towels changed daily and sheets every 3 days. The food was amazing and very good quality, fabulous choice at breakfast from full English to pancakes, Greek yogurt, croissants, hams, cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, nuts, fruit juice, teas, coffee. After breakfast you go to reception and choose your main course for your evening meal. Always had a choice of a meat dish, fish dish, pasta dish and a veggie dish. The starter and dessert were a serve yourself buffet style, always varied and delicious. They also have a Greek night every Thursday which was great fun and all the staff join in. As well as a lovely pool they have a small area of private beach 100m walk. The barman Panos comes down regularly, you pay him €6 for 2 sun beds and an umbrella and he brings you 2 soft drinks or coffee (his frappe’s were the best) We enjoyed our chats with the staff and our geography lessons on the beach from Panos and Valeria telling us all about the Greek islands and Eda always wanting to chat to make sure we were having a good time. Cosmos on reception is a lovely man who’s English is amazing, always loved predicting what our meal choice was going to be and nearly always got it right… You can walk in to Kardamena along the coastal road, it took us around 40mins or you can get the bus from right outside the hotel. All in all we had a great time, the owner (who also worked very hard and clearly cared for his staff like family) should be very proud of his hotel and every single member of his staff. Thanks for a fabulous 2 weeks….until next year.

The hotel stands out primarily for its exceptional service – friendly, helpful, and fully dedicated to ensuring the comfort of guests. Special recognition goes to the waitstaff (Valeria, Tasos, the girl from Albania) and the young man at reception, who create a warm, family-like atmosphere, making the stay truly enjoyable. The hotel is perfectly located – near the sea and at the foot of a mountain, providing tranquility and stunning views. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, and the cuisine offers a wide selection of delicious dishes. Minor drawbacks include a late dinner service and the inability to dispose of toilet paper in the toilet, but these are easily manageable.

Went in for breakfast only as we stayed in sweet Kalimera Apartments. 10 euro for plentiful buffet . I had bacon roll and my wife had scrambled eggs. We both had some treats afterwards . Great eating your breakfast on the outside veranda. Man at reception was friendly and we had a good experience overall.

This hotel was fantastic , not too big and staff were friendly and helpful. A special thanks to cosmo and Valerie’s who were there every day smiling and ready to help. Beach in front of hotel and two sun beds with two drinks available for 6 euros all day. If you want a quiet stay to relax and unwind highly recommended this hotel.
