We have just come back from a week’s stay here . I was travelling with my husband and teenage daughter. We arrived early hrs and staff were friendly and gave us a bag with a sandwich each an apple and small bottle of ouzo as a welcome gesture. Very nice thought but neither or my daughter can have bread but they weren’t to know . No drink offered luckily we had a drink with us . Tax was more than what was advised and the safe was expensive at €20 for 1 wk . Room was basic but clean but don’t know what maid did really as didn’t look like she did much other than fold sheets and changed towels twice . Never gave us clean coffee cups so they were only used on first night . Didn’t seam to wipe anywhere or brush and mop floors . Air-con in our room was good and kept room nice and cool as it was the only place that was kept cool . Room was for up two four people but only 2 chairs on balcony which I must admit was small so would struggle with more . We found staff friendly enough especially the waiters/ waitresses always busy . I agree with others that the lady who seamed to run the bar in the evenings is miserable and very off putting never saw here smile except with her friends at one side of bar . Always ready to help them but not on all inclusive unless it was extremely busy . It was a 2 drink rule which was crazy as in a party of 3 which meant 2 of us had to go up every time we wanted a drink except at pool bar which is madness . Ran out of vodka on two nights which seeing as it wasn’t a party place I find that poor management . Did not feel friendly at all , there was a tip cup that said ( tips because we want holidays too ) well my advice is if you want people to tip you need to up your game and provide a welcoming and helpful service and then maybe you would receive plenty of tips . Cup was mainly empty but I’m not surprised at all with the service . When I asked about the no spirits till after 6 , I was told it’s because it’s a family hotel . I am so glad I didn’t bring my children when they were younger as they would have been bored stiff especially at night . No children’s entertainment at all nothing in the day or at night . In one weeks stay we seen one act of a belly dancer who was on for about 30mins if that . I think if your selling your self as a family hotel then you should be putting day and evening activities on for them . I’ve never been to a place that doesn’t do something for children. Children seamed to find entertainment by running around jumping of things which no one monitored and could be dangerous especially where it was wet. I felt for them and parents as if your paying for an all inclusive to then have to pay extra to entertain children day and night it costs a lot . Food that was there was good but limited selection especially as it was a busy time of year and hotel was full . Limited hot breakfast choice it alternated between bacon and fried egg one day the next day sausage and omelette and so on . No full sau

On arrival we were given a packed lunch as we were too late for dinner and a small bottle of ouzo (a Greek aniseed spirit) which was very thoughtful. All inclusive drinks included a range of soft drinks, beer, red wine and white wine with spirits and “cocktails” being available past 6pm. The beer and wine were lovely, the cocktails were essentially just a spirit with multiple mixers but were tasty and appropriate for all inclusive in my opinion (‘proper’ cocktails were available for €7.50 which were absolutely delicious). The all inclusive food was varied and amazing, with some consistent options and some which rotated daily which always gave us something new to try. Room was lovely and clean with a very comfy bed, an air con and a cute balcony which included a drying rack. The 2 large pools and kids pool were all amazingly clean and not too busy. Plenty of deck chairs with options for shade or sun. Staff were all very kind and efficient, with the reception staff being a massive help when we had to book extra nights following our flight getting cancelled. There are some local cats who are all very cute and some of them are very friendly :). There is a very well stocked shop on site which, if a little overpriced, is very convenient and the staff were very nice. On check out we were gifted a cute hotel tote bag which was a lovely touch! Location wise it’s about a 25 min walk to town/ the beach which was bearable in the heat and quite pleasant in the evenings, there is also a route which takes you past the salt lake which was fun. If you don’t fancy the walk however, there is a hotel shuttle bus to the beach regularly. There’s a bus stop to kos town and Marmari literally a one minute walk from the hotel with regular buses (on the way back make sure you shout if you want to get off cause he will just keep going ). Getting around the island outside of this was difficult so next time we would likely hire a car or book a tour of historical sights such as the asklepion (obviously this is not the hotels fault just some advice). Overall, we felt very welcome and looked after during our stay, had a great time and would absolutely visit again!

The manager was so kind and helpful, we had the best time! My girlfriend and I booked this hotel through TUI, initially there was an issue with the room, we booked a deluxe room but were given a family room because of a mix up in the contract between the hotel and TUI. The manager was very understanding and helpful though and we got the room we wanted. Every time we had a question the manager was so kind, it was a joy talking to her. It was an absolute joy staying here, with great tours and excursions to do and the beach just a short bus ride/20 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very relaxing holiday, the hotel is lovely, very clean, fresh towels and sheets everyday. The food was really good, there was a choice for everyone, vegetarian food was plentiful. The lamb and meat dishes were delicious. There are lots of nice walks around the hotel & the bus stops outside of the hotel. It is very handy to get into Kos City. The Salt Lake walk is a must & takes around 10 minutes to get there to see the Flamingoes . We would not hesitate to go back. If you like peace and relaxing, then it's the place to go. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Just be aware that the Bedroom Tax needs to be paid in cash, which we weren't aware of. All in all we had a great time & would return without hesitation.

Just returned from here after a week’s holiday. Found the hotel service staff very pleasant and always smiling, especially the young guy on the pool bar who remembered our order when we returned, which was a nice touch. Ice cream at 4pm was great. Food in general we found to be good but not much breakfast rotation. Having breakfast on the roof with a view of the picturesque mountains was a lovely start to the day. On our first day our shower broke and a friendly receptionist helped us get this sorted promptly. Which we were very happy with and thankful for. We found the room to be really small and the bathroom to be quite compacted with not much room for a proper shower due to the small half bath. We asked for late check out and were told to return the day before our departure to arrange this, which we did and were met with a VERY abrupt and rude “no. We don’t know when next guests will arrive.” We were snapped at with no willingness to accommodate our request (we felt that this was potentially due to us being British tourists and felt a bit of hostility towards us throughout the duration of the week as some staff were much nicer to other guests) when our transfer wasn’t until 8:30pm (not the fault of the hotel, we know but we were always willing to pay extra in the comfort of knowing that we would be able to charge our devices and have a shower in our own privacy to get refreshed before we left) we then had to go through the app of our tour provider who negotiated the late check out for us. It eventually got sorted and we were told that we had to vacate the room at 7pm. So, leaving day arrives and we go back to the room to shower and then get a knock at 6pm advising us that we “need to leave.” We then explain that we were told that we have until 7pm. Cue sounds of clanking buckets outside our room for the next 45 minutes trying to force us to leave as soon as possible, with a woman standing directly outside our door. We feel that quite frankly, they couldn’t wait to be shut of us and didn’t feel massively welcome all week The area is generally great and it’s a short walk to the main ***** with plenty of bars and restaurants and a great fountain show next to the spa. We found ourselves out all evening but one as there were 10 minute queues for the bar at the hotel All in all, we had a good week here. The facilities were ok but we didn’t feel welcome in the slightest. I personally would avoid if you are a British tourist

Had a lovely time at the hotel staff are very friendly And happy to help , food is of good quality but limited choice (suits me down to the ground as can’t decide) pools are ok , plenty of sun beds clean and tidy ,hotel run a bus to the beach and back , all though only 15-20 walk if you fancy a stroll and the town is on the way with loads of bars and restaurants and shops . Couple of negatives Pool bar limited drinks during the day no spirits and food only between 4-5pm including ice cream Not much entertainment one night belly dancing and one night DJ (background music only) Bar only 2 drinks per person at a time And bar manager not the friendliest person and doesn’t jump in when bar is busy so long queue at times ,but Barman 5 stars always on the go 👍🏼 Overall I’d recommend this hotel as a well run family hotel in good location with stunning views and friendly staff Thank you really enjoyed it x

I had stayed at the ilios nearly 25 years ago as a child and was lovely to come back as an adult. We booked a twin room but were given a maisonette which was a lovely surprise. Rooms were well maintained and kept clean during our holiday. We had a couple of issues with the toilet and air con but both of these were dealt with efficiently by the lovely receptionist (I’m sorry I didn’t get your name.) Breakfast was standard but lots of hot/cold choices. Lunch and dinner was served in a separate area. The food was freshly made and prepared (if you are fussy eater it may not be the best for you.) I was surprised by the quality of the food we had souvlaki, chicken , gyros, and was always accompanied by tzatziki, bread and salads. Fresh trays were brought out by the cooks quickly. Beer (Zorbas) is available during the day from the pool bar which was nice after a swim. The young man at the pool bar will also do his best to make cold/ice coffees. Drinks were served from 6pm from the main bar including a range of spirits. We couldn’t work out if their ‘cocktail of the day’ was actually included in the all inclusive package. All the staff we encountered were very friendly ( I do get other reviewers comments about the lady at the bar… but from our perspective it seemed like she was just making sure people didn’t take their glasses near the pool and everyone else was incredibly friendly!) The younger man was lovely and always smiling so we made sure to always add a euro or two to the tip jar. 😊 We made us of the bus to the beach as the heat can be a bit too much it would have been nice if there were more frequent times during the day.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff and amazing food. I can not fault this hotel. We only stayed for 3 nights after a huge delay with Tui. The lady on reception made sure we had some lunch when we got there and everyone was so kind and polite. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. The pool was a very relaxed atmosphere with no fighting for sun loungers at 6am. Every meal there was a choice of different mains and the salads were to die for. Thank you for making our short stay so wonderful.

Having stayed at the K Ilios Hotel twice last year, this was our first with all the family. The hotel is fantastic, the staff are amazing, location is brilliant for taking just a 15 minute walk to the main *****. The beach reachable in about 20 - 25 min walk however the hotel does run a minibus a number of times each day to and from. The fact this was our 3rd stay in the space of 12 months says it all.
