Four Points properties in Kunming

The Four Points by Sheraton is one of Marriott's mid-range, practical brands. While the hotel's view isn't particularly special, its amenities are very convenient, including a self-service laundry, lobby bar, and gym. Although this hotel isn't in the absolute most central location in Kunming, the city isn't very big to begin with, so getting to the Old Street and Green Lake is still quite easy, about a 10-minute taxi ride. Finally, what really stands out is its restaurant. Their breakfast, in addition to Western options, offers incredibly authentic local dishes. You'll find local specialties like potato rice, rice noodles, milky rice wine, and rolled noodles. Everything is prepared hygienically and tastes genuinely local, so there's no need to go elsewhere to experience local cuisine. Overall, for a trip to Kunming, choosing this hotel is both affordable and convenient, and you'll have a comfortable stay.

This hotel is located right in the city center, with a lively pedestrian street and plenty of great food options downstairs. The halal beef pancakes right outside are delicious and always have a long queue! If you turn right out of the hotel and pass Nanning Street, you'll reach Shuncheng Shopping Mall, which boasts numerous restaurants. The Wuyi Road metro station is also right next to it. You can easily walk to Cuihu Park and several other pedestrian streets from the hotel, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, including local Yunnan specialties like Er'si and rice noodles. The hotel maintains the high standards of Sheraton (Marriott), and the room facilities are excellent. The lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room and gave me a fruit platter. My room on the 28th floor offered expansive city views. For transportation to Kunming Station, if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend a taxi as there might not be a direct metro line due to the complex underground structure of the old city. One suggestion I have is to place ashtrays (or poles) outside the entrance. This would prevent guests who step out to smoke from a non-smoking hotel from littering cigarette butts.

The restaurant offered good food with a wide variety. The shuttle bus was punctual and convenient. Overall, it was quite good, and there are convenient amenities nearby.

I mentioned wanting to try a suite next time, and Eric Chen Linhao offered to take some photos for me so I could book it directly if I liked what I saw. He then pulled out his phone and scrolled through his album, explaining which floors had better views and which orientations were quieter. The front desk at Four Points by Sheraton Chenggong isn't about upselling; they're all about making sure you have the most comfortable stay possible.

My stay at Four Points by Sheraton Kunming Chenggong was absolutely fantastic! The room layout and design were perfectly to my taste – spacious, comfortable, and with great attention to detail. It was incredibly relaxing to stay there, and the value for money was outstanding; it definitely stands out among hotels in the same price range. By accident, I took the hotel's hairdryer when checking out. As soon as I realized, I immediately sent it back. I thought it was a small matter, but to my surprise, the hotel not only didn't make an issue of it but was incredibly thoughtful. They even prepared a special gift for me: Yunnan specialty tea and a cute plush toy. This level of understanding and care truly touched my heart. From the room experience to the excellent price and this unexpected, kind gesture, everything made me feel so positive about this hotel. The service details are impeccable. This is truly a hidden gem, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Kunming!
