The hotel was the best stay we could wish for in the Grand Hirafu area. The hosts -Tak, Sato, and Tsuyoshi were amazing and did everything in their power to make our stay memorable and enjoyable (and yes, they do have free laundry)! They went above and beyond to make our stay amazing-the BLISS lounge is a must. We loved the BLISS birthday cake and the cotton candy making in the BLISS lounge. There was so much snow to ski, Onsen to relax in, and restaurants to dine at in the area, and the buses made it easy to get around. One thing: the area does have a traffic problem around 6-7 PM, but the buses are still great otherwise for getting around, and there are many restaurants that are within walking distance. We really loved Sato’s recommendation of Dan Dan noodles and Tsubara Tsubara. We loved our stay and hope to come back!

Sited well near Hirafu and the crossroads to Kutchan. Rooms are modern and warm, insulated from the cold. Fully functioning kitchen that comes in useful for a 3 course feast. Satoko and Tsuyoshi were superb hosts who helped out with our every wish. Washer and dryer were free to use. A boon for us who stayed 8 nights. Their personal service is warm and well appreciated!

This was not only my first trip to Niseko / Grand Hirafu to ski but also my first trip to Japan. Our daughter had come over to teach English in Aomori and I came over to visit her for Christmas and go skiing. I picked Bliss Lodging because it had a 2 bedroom condo available and free pickup service to and from the train station. What a wonderfully blissful experience. The hosts made us feel right at home and as they told us "If you are happy we are even happier". Grand Hirafu Village is about a 20-minute walk away, but there is a shuttle bus stop right out the front door that comes every 30 minutes during the day. We took the bus each morning to ski and rode it back in the late afternoon when we were finished. Very convenient. Also within a few minutes walk of Bliss, are three restaurants, a Lawsons and a Seven-Eleven so we never felt the need to go into the Grand Hirafu Village in the evening though that was an option. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that comes to Niseko to ski. Also, as far as I am concerned, Grand Hirafu and Hanazono are the best parts of the mountain to ski on.
