Hotels with Parking in Kutchan

The stay at the Park Hyatt will remain a particularly positive memory for us, even though the arranged pick-up from Sapporo station required some patience and nerves. The initial annoyance was compensated not only by the great attention and care of the driver, but also by the very professional complaint management of the guest relations manager. As for the rest of the stay, the hotel impresses with its architecture, tasteful furnishings and a service team that excelled in cordiality and sincere efforts to read the guests' wishes from their lips. The leisure activities are great, and I would particularly like to mention the Zip Flight and Tree Trekking. I have one suggestion for the reception - when asking about walks, don't just mention the short walks in the area, but offer more detailed advice on additional walks and places of interest. All in all, the stay was a special occasion for us and we look forward to perhaps visiting Park Hyatt Hokkaido again in the winter.

I stayed in the middle of the ski season in February 2023. Good points The exterior looks like a hot spring built during the bubble period compared to the surrounding hotels, and I thought it might be a loss at first glance. However, the interior was new and the inside of the room (although the rooms seem to be new and old) was modern and comfortable. The large communal bath is a hot spring and has an open-air bath. There were many people during the ski season, but the bathhouse was large so I was able to take a relaxing bath. The meal was a buffet, but it was relatively authentic, and the tempura and steak were delicious. It was more than expected. Bad places The correspondence of the staff (especially the receptionist) is subtle. Although it was full of many customers during the check-in time zone, the person in charge was only about 1-2 names. Moreover, there are many English / Chinese, but there are many staff in one word, and it took time to respond. Some people broke into the row and came in, but they weren't so concerned. Also, I only said that I needed guidance, and even if I asked where and when the bath was, I was only told ”it is written”. Anyway, if it is a cheap hotel overseas, I wanted to give a little more hospitality if it is a hotel of a certain rank in Japan. It's a ski / snowboard relationship, but lift tickets and rentals will be another building. It's not just this hotel, but it's a little far away, but I thought I would improve the convenience a little more. Also, this time was １ night ２ 5,000 yen with breakfast and dinner. I think it can't be helped, but I want it to be a place that Japanese people can enjoy.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station or from bus station. (Kutchan station head south). There were some noisy Chinese tourists in the dorm during my stay (probably yours too), so please get the free complimentary earplugs they provide as it may help with their noise. You can also insert a pair of headphones in their room jack if you booked the pods, although next time if ever I visit again I would book the private rooms instead. Overall a solid 4/5

This hotel delivers more than expected! Usually the websites over promise and under deliver however this was the other way around! As others have mentioned rooms are quite small but completely adequate, the only thing we could suggest would be to offer coffee & tea in the room (there is a kettle & fridge). Bathroom has toileteries which are decent quality. Room was warm and thus ski clothes were dried well. There is good storage for ski equipment and a lovely small gym with good quality kit (open 24/7) All staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the area giving good instructions and suggestions for places to eat. There is a shuttle service to the town but it is also a pleasant walk (without ski gear!) The small convenience store on site is ok but a little expensive (although this is independant of the hotel) Breakfast is plentiful, everything fresh and inviting to eat - there is an egg station where you can get eggs any which way. The diner us surprisingly good - a small menu but made to order and like breafast very fresh. The bar does happy hour and some lovely cocktails :) There is a ”common room” whereby you can cook for yourself - this would be good if travelling in a group. Overall a great mid priced (low for the area!) hotel

My family and I stayed at Setsu for 8 nights in January 2024. We shared a one bedroom suite which worked perfectly for a family of four. The amenities in the room were excellent, having a washer and dryer in the room was very helpful. The room alone gets five stars. The location of the hotel is ok. It was handy having Lawsons across the road and food trucks and restaurants nearby (though sidewalks were pretty icy and not great to walk on at night). The ramen restaurant in the hotel is great, the food is tasty and its relatively affordable. The hotel could do with another lower cost food option as there was normally a long queue to get in. We ate at Luke's in the hotel one night. The service was excellent. But it was way over-priced. Some fried fish, a side of chips and a burger cost about $A180. The burger was good and given the location I didn't mind paying $A50 for it, but the fish at $A95 was pretty ordinary (oily and very salty). The cheapest bottle of wine was $A200. Breakfast was ok but not great - some freshly cooked egg options would have been nice. The snow was great - but a couple of days the top slopes were closed due to wind. This meant the queues down the bottom were very long. The ski school was a good way to jump the queues - but worth being aware that only Go Snow gets this at grand hirafu - rhythm doesn't get to jump any queues, and NISS at Hanazano only. The shuttle bus to the slopes was ok. We never had to wait too long but it was a bit awkward having to take skis onboard the bus. There is also a walk up to the gondola from the bus stop - its pretty short normally, but can take 20 minutes if the gondola queue is long. By contrast the Park Hyatt has a quick ski down to the Hanazano lifts which looked like a much easier way to get going - though there isn't much around apart from the hotel. Overall it feels like the volume of people at Niseko has over-stretched the other infrastructure. So not sure if we'd go back.

We were greeted warmly at the front desk by Taito (cute Japanese boy who speaks good english with a Thai accent! I mean this as a compliment). Was pleasantly surprised when he allowed us to check in even though we were 2 hours early. Shortly after entering our room, Taito personally knocked on the door to give us some items which my parents requested. He was also standing out there in the bright sun to say goodbye when we were loading our luggages into the rental car after checking out. I rate Taito's service and attitude: 5 Stars!!! Room had a kitchen with full set of appliances, utensils and crockery. Fridge had drinks, juices, milk, butter, jam, and even sausages for cooking. And there was a basket with cereal, apples, banana and 2 loaves of bread for our breakfast needs. Overall, this was a very nice and enjoyable stay. The only gripe I have is that the hotel did not allow me to make any change to my dates (not sure why as it was late April and not peak ski-ing season), even though I offered to make another booking first before cancelling(have done this sort of arrangement with other hotels in Hokkaido so I know it's possible). It would have been perfect if the hotel can offer some flexibility to their guests. After all, plans do change due to various reasons. Hope to be back in future and see that they're more flexible the next time round. Till then, thank you and cheers =)

Even if the decoration is very modern, most of them are Europeans and Americans, the rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the appliances are complete. The kitchen appliances are all miele, please. There is a place for renting skis and clothing in the lobby of the hotel. You can go to the Hirafu Ski Resort directly by renting the elevator. A full set of equipment costs about 15,000 yen a day, according to Xiaohongshu, it is cheaper than snow. Most of the waiters are European and American, English is very good. The hotel has cars to Kutchan JR Station and lucky supermarket. It is very convenient for the family to cook. like

I want to give top marks for customer recovery for Chalet Ivy. I booked five nights there for a Feb ski trip in october 2022. It was confirmed by Agoda, the booking agglomeration site. But 3 weeks before the trip, they claimed they couldn’t find the booking and had to cancel the booking. The fault seemed to lay with their 3rd party wholesaler for rooms. With sky high costs and low availability at this stage, I freaked out. But Vladi the reservations officer from Chalet Ivy manager managed to re-book me in albeit at a slightly higher price- offset by the compensation I received from Agoda. We even had an upgrade to a Mt Yotei view room. Great save. Also a shoutout to front reception staff like Rou Hong who was so helpful. All in a great experience staying at the Chalet Ivy

We had an amazing 5 night stay at Miru Niseko in March 2023. Our group was 3 adults & 2 small children, and we had interconnecting apartment rooms. The rooms were so comfortable, clean, spacious and well designed. Amazing snowy views from all windows and very peaceful. We loved the Blackwood grill for breakfast everyday - the adults tried all kinds of different Japanese and western breakfasts and the picky children were accommodated for very well. On our last night we had the course dinner and were blown away - do not miss this and book in advance! It was such a special dining experience. The in-house Onsen is gorgeous - there are indoor and outdoor pools to experience. Perfect after a day on the slopes. The Miru Niseko is only 4 minutes drive from Hirafu town and there is a convenient shuttle bus running morning, lunch, and the evening so you can get in and out without needing a private car. All the staff were so welcoming and wonderful, and went the extra mile to help us and recommend restaurants and activities. 10/10 we will be back - the chalets look amazing and we will try those next time! Our family stayed at Ki Niseko for 3 nights in early January 2024...one of our best experiences. Located next to Hirafu Mountain Center and Holiday Pair Lift 1, it's convenient for us to pick up ski gears at a counter inside the hotel and directly ski in & out. This area is less crowded than those around Ace Family Lift at the west of Grand Hirafu...thus, an ideal place for beginners. Our Nitori Room is spatial, cozy, clean, and fully equipped with various facilities & furniture, including stoves, oven, dishwasher, laundry machine, utensils, dining table, etc. Our room was supposed to have Mt. Yotei view. Unfortunately, there was heavy snow & cloudy during our first 3 days. If you visit Niseko during heavy snow season, booking the volcano view room is at your own risk. Majority of the hotel staff are international. They are professional, friendly, and helpful. The hotel offered our family complimentary private onsen and transfer to Hirafu Welcome Center's bus stop. Breakfast is delicious and with sufficient variety of foods, though the menu was nearly the same everyday during our stay. All in all, we would recommend Ki Niseko and hope to come back again.
