We stayed at the Kyoto Kamanza Hotel for 4 nights. The room was amazing, much larger than most with 2 double beds and a sitting / table area, plus a very big bathroom. It is located in a quiet residential area but within walking distance of the Imperial Palace, Nijō Castle and the restaurant / shopping areas. The hotel doesn’t offer daily cleaning but you can change your towels and leave trash to be collected outside your room as needed. Highly recommend this hotel for great value and convenient location.

A great base to explore Kyoto. Just a few stops on the subway from Kyoto Station and a short walk from Nijo Castle and imperial Palace Gardens. Bus stops very nearby allowing easy access to all sights around the city. The beds were very comfy with lovely fluffy duvets and there was a great selection of toiletries also provided. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel not only exceeded our expectations, but it was our best stay in Japan. Our room was spacious (which is very unusual in Japan), gorgeous, and immaculate. The hotel is situated on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the train and many great restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The desk staff always greeted us with a smile, offering to answer questions or help in any way. The hotel is small and has a boutique feel. Very well appointed in common area. Again, our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

The hotel provided a comfortable stay with clean, well-maintained rooms and friendly staff. Its location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Amenities were decent, though breakfast options could be better. The check-in process was smooth, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. While minor improvements could be made, it was a pleasant experience, and I would consider staying again.

Our room was very spacious and cozy. It was definitely worth the price for 3 nights. Amenities were readily available and even though we didn’t get daily cleans it was really easy to maintain a clean room. Super close to the train station which was helpful and the staff were friendly.
