The hotel room we were assigned was nothing like what’s shown in the pictures on Trip.com.
It was old, dimly lighted and amenities were really poor.
There wasn’t even a charging point on one side of the bed.
On the other, there was an extension adaptor that was fixed on the bedside table.
It looks really makeshift and was probably not very safe.
When I asked the receptionist about it, I was offered another extension adaptor for my side of the bed!
The hotel charges regular guests for using the pool and spa.
When I went to check it out, it was a small little indoor pool.
There were a few pieces of old exercise equipment located next to the pool. These were supposed to make up for the lack of a fitness center.
All in all, very pathetic.
My feedback on all these issues were not acted upon until I wrote to hotel GM on the 3rd day of our stay.
We were then offered a room upgrade for the 4th and last night, which showed that we were really short changed with the room we were assigned earlier.
This was part of a 2 week plus swing across Japan and the Crowne Plaza Kyoto was the worst value of all 7 the hotels we stayed in.
