Kyoto Nakagyo Ward Hotels

Great hotel near the castle and a subway line. Staff is really friendly and there’s comic books you can read downstairs. Breakfast is great but it’s a traditional Japanese breakfast, which may not be for everyone.

Great location ! Definitely in the heart of city center. The receptions are very responsive & helpful. The hotel interior is slightly outdated but the room is sparkly clean. Strongly recommended

Good location, very near Omiya Subway. Even w kuggage, there's lift. You gotta look for it. Easy to travel around w Subway. Very near Nakai & Sukiya. Walk ard 5 to 10mins, there's McDonald's, Matsuya n many other local restaurants. Family Mart & 7-11 are all over. No worries if suddenly u get hungry in e middle of the night. Bed is comfortable. Pillow very soft. Ice machine w cups, vending machine & laundry are there for usage. There's a common area w comfortable chairs and tables for u to seat when u wanna hangout. There's also microwave and water dispenser (bring your own cup or bottle to fill). ¥100 hot coffee machine available. You can seat around and warm up yr takeaway food and eat there. All in all, I recommend this hotel in Kyoto. Away from e busy street. Quite a nice street to walk. Accessible to different parts of Kyoto w subway nearby. Price is very reasonable.

We arrived via Hankyu Kyoto line and the exit that gets to the hotel has elevator so that alone is already a bonus. It’s walking distance to that exit so extremely convenient. The room is bigger than expected with tatami and a low tea table if you want to enjoy the Japanese culture. What I like is that they didn’t use traditional Tatatmi but modern materials called Bolon as a replacement which is cleaner and nicer too. The storage space and tea amenities are excellent. Not to mention there is also the onsen facility in the hotel which our family enjoy. It’s relaxing after a long day of sightseeing . Overall is excellent and we will stay here again .

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and the beds are comfortable. We also prefer the shower in the bathroom over the bathtub. If there is a chance we would love to visit here again. The lounge area was also cosy and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was great, I looked forward to returning back to our room everytime after a day of exploring outside. Also love the feature where we can also monitor the laundromat usage and plan when to head down to do our laundry. ;D

We were late to book an hotel and ended up at this one. Unfortunately, the price offered upon arrival was way higher than what he paid on the app. Otherwise, very good service and nice room. It was clean, and very secured with their digital code for accessing both the hotel and room. Very satisfied.

The location is superb, Uniqlo / GU / Loft just across the street, Don Quixote two streets away and endless restaurants and malls for you to shop till you drop. Rooms a little small but to be expected for a Japanese standard, everything was very functional and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here

Rooms were big by Japanese standards, and location is a short walk to Sanjō station. Tons of restaurants and a shopping arcade nearby. Rooms were brand new due to recent refurbishment. Overall great value for money

As usual, Hotel Monterey Kyoto provided superior service. My room was clean and spacious and I enjoyed the ocha and coffee provided. The water from the tap is not good though, so be sure to buy bottled water to drink and to make hot drinks. Access to bus and subway is excellent making this my only place to stay when I go to Kyoto.

The hotel location was amazing. It was just next to the Nijo Castle which was also a very nice place. The staff was helpful and provided a very good service. The room was clean and we had plenty space for 2. Greatly recommend this hotel if you are to travel in Kyoto. It was also very close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Very close to few train station as well. Thank you!
