We had a fantastic stay at The Editory by the Sea in Lagos. The location is perfect—just steps from the beach and a short walk to the old town. The hotel has a modern, minimalist feel with beautiful interiors and calming views of the ocean.
The service was warm and professional throughout our stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always available if we needed anything, without being intrusive.
Our room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel more luxurious. The pool area was lovely—quiet, relaxing, and a great spot to unwind after exploring the Algarve.
Breakfast was a highlight! Plenty of variety with fresh local options, from fruit and pastries to cooked dishes. We also had dinner at the hotel one night and were really impressed with the quality and presentation.
Overall, The Editory was the perfect mix of design, comfort, and location. We’d absolutely recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Lagos!

Really enjoyed our stay here! Hotel is very new, aesthetic, walking distance to sunset viewpoint & famous beach. Both indoor & outdoor pool was lovely and the staff were all fluent with English :)

The best hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything is new and very clean and the staff is friendly. The location is great the only delta is that the area is under construction so the pool area was a little noisy.

New hotel, the room is not big but clean and tidy. Although it is a sea view room, the lower floor looks like a construction site. It is very close to famous attractions. The breakfast is not good and should be improved. There is no maple honey or jam

Service is still very poor. The hotel has only recently opened. The staff is clearly unprepared, with the exception of the bartender at the internal bar. He was very friendly and experienced in making up for the obvious shortcomings of the space.

Overall it's good, the whole hotel is very new, the room is quite big and the hygiene is very good, but maybe because it is a new hotel, the room has a smell. The hotel's outdoor swimming pool is nice and the hotel dinner is also very cost-effective. However, if the air conditioner in the room is turned on high, it will be noisy, and it is also troublesome to contact the front desk. There were several times when I made many calls but no one answered. The cleaning staff don't speak English and need to use google translate to communicate, but they are still very nice.

The hotel is brand new. Everyone was very friendly. There was a bit of furniture missing on the terrace, but the hotel opened two weeks ago. The spa area is very nice, and the breakfast is very complete. We will return.
