"NH hotel chain can be hit or miss. The location is excellent, right next to the Lagos bus station, and there's a Pingo Doce supermarket nearby. The terrible part was the room hygiene! The first room had a tiny bathroom. The showerhead was leaking, it looked like it had been taken apart and not properly tightened. Also, the pump dispenser for the shower gel was loose, and the gel had spilled all over the bottle and solidified. That image is hard to forget. The phone was also broken. Even the cleaning lady frowned when she saw it and asked if I wanted to switch rooms... I have no idea what that bathroom had been through. The new room we switched to; I got dizzy from the fresh paint smell after just two minutes. I asked about it, and apparently, it had been recently painted. I contacted the front desk, and they showed me two more rooms, from which I picked one. It took two hours to switch rooms. The final room was acceptable, and we could finally check-in normally. The hotel facilities and environment are good. Since it's built along a hill, it has several blocks, and you have to go up and down stairs and turn corners to get around inside the hotel, which made me feel a bit lost. The hotel staff were all very friendly and patient. To be fair, there were good and bad aspects. Please use this for your reference."

"Overall, the apartment itself is actually very nice. The location is excellent, the view is beautiful, and the apartment has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it is very poorly maintained, which really affected our stay. The bathroom had black mould, and the hot water was a constant issue—it took around five minutes to warm up, then would suddenly turn cold in the middle of a shower, meaning you had to wait all over again. The cleanliness was also disappointing. There were insects around because the apartment had not been cleaned properly, and we even found a used plaster left inside one of the cupboards, which was quite unpleasant. The fridge was also broken during our stay, which was another major inconvenience. The balcony door was extremely difficult to open and close, to the point where it felt almost broken. During check-in, the staff member who greeted us was also quite rude and even shushed us, which was not a welcoming first impression. The biggest concern, however, was safety. We got stuck in the lift, and there appears to be no functioning emergency assistance system. Pressing the emergency button only triggered a loud alarm—it did not connect us to anyone or notify anyone that we were trapped, which was very worrying. Overall, this could be an excellent place to stay because the apartment, location, and view are all great. However, the poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, the broken fridge, disappointing customer service, and safety concerns mean I unfortunately cannot recommend it in its current condition."
