Manxin Hotels in Lhasa

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.

The hotel is in a great location. It's about a 100-meter walk to the entrance of Jokhang Temple. We drove to the hotel by ourselves, but they called us before we arrived to tell us how to enter the hotel. They were very considerate. After arriving at the hotel, the staff directed us to park and helped us with our luggage. The front desk manager Yuan was also very enthusiastic and considerate. There were welcome fruits in the room, and the air conditioner was very warm. It's a hotel worth staying in.

Great hotel, large room (was upgraded for free to Suite), clean. Marshal at reception was friendly and attentive. Large variety at breakfast, although the western options are still slightly limited. Would be nice to have greek yoghurt and more cereal choices. Chinese options are great. Joy (waitress at breakfast) was very good and deserves a mention!

The hotel staff had a very good service attitude. Seeing that I brought my child, they upgraded our room for free. The breakfast staff was also very nice, providing latte. We had to catch a flight on the last day and had no time to eat. They also packed bread and corn for us. They were afraid that the children would be hungry, and they took the initiative to pack cakes. I was really sorry. How could such a warm and enthusiastic hotel have bad business? No wonder the occupancy rate is very high in the off-season. The front desk lady also took the initiative to provide children's toothbrushes and slippers 🩴. The children had big feet, so the children's slippers were not used in the end. If you order outside, you can write the room number clearly, and the takeaway guy will deliver it to the room in person, which is very convenient. It is also very fresh to have a welcome speech every day, and it will be delivered to the room at 19:30-20:00 in the evening. If it is cold outside, you can take it to the sixth-floor scenic restaurant to heat it up. It is humane and enthusiastic! The scenic hotel I love is not inferior to a five-star hotel, whether it is scenery or service.

The hotel is in a great location, with very convenient parking. You can walk to the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Ramoche Temple. Barkhor Street is not far away, and the breakfast is great! The Chongqing girl at the hotel front desk and the beautiful ******* girl who is the hotel manager were very enthusiastic in introducing the surrounding restaurants and tourist routes. The prices were also very reasonable. The only drawback was that the hotel was renovated a little early and the various hardware facilities were a little backward. Another plus point is that you can overlook the Potala Palace while having breakfast.

It doesn't matter if you spend money, you have to have results. You can even refund me the money for the time I didn't use up, but the result is nothing. A brand hotel chain ruined its image because of a broken oxygen concentrator. Don't say it has nothing to do with you, can you put it anywhere without your approval?
