"The front desk was very helpful and even provided a pulse oximeter! Every day, they delivered fruit and yogurt to our room, and the humidifier and oxygen diffuser were incredibly useful. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and you could even see the Potala Palace from the restaurant. Our room also had a view, though not as close as the restaurant. They were also super responsive on WeChat 24/7, and anything we needed was delivered right away!"

Alan at the front desk was very nice and helpful, recommending restaurants and more. Also, the medical room has a 25 yuan per bag medication that's supposedly a miracle cure for altitude sickness."

Cons: The hotel is a renovated old building, so parking was a hassle. The window faced another building, which was under renovation, so there was no view whatsoever, and we had to keep the curtains closed at all times. Although the room was large, it felt quite empty and somewhat useless."

The airport pickup service was punctual and attentive. The driver was calm and professional, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Throughout our trip, the hotel arranged a dedicated driver to take us to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The routes were well-planned, the driving was steady, and he waited patiently, allowing us to easily visit these sacred sites without any worries. I must give special praise to our butler, Zhixi. His service was incredibly meticulous and he anticipated our every need. From guiding us during check-in and offering itinerary suggestions to providing tips for high altitude, he followed up attentively throughout, always responsive to our requests. He handled every small detail with such care and thoughtfulness, making us feel completely at ease. The dining experience at the restaurant was excellent. The dishes were varied, delicious, and of high quality. A special thanks to Dekyi Wangmo for her exceptional care. Her service was warm and attentive; she proactively anticipated our needs, from taking orders to refilling tea and providing thoughtful details. The dining atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and we enjoyed every meal thoroughly. This was especially helpful for us who experienced some altitude sickness. Standard hotel services were also top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were humble, courteous, and responded quickly. Whether it was helping with facilities, addressing requests, or providing temporary assistance, they were efficient and warm, truly making us feel at home. From airport transfers and butler service to restaurant care, the Shangri-La Hotel's exceptional dedication protected our entire journey, making our high-altitude trip warm and smooth."

"I stayed here for two days, and their service and facilities didn't match the price. Oxygen wasn't available constantly; it was only available during certain times. Does this mean people with oxygen deficiency experience intermittent oxygen deprivation? The toothbrushes were terrible, worse than those in budget hotels, shedding a lot of bristles. They didn't even provide a razor. It's really worse than a hotel costing several hundred yuan. Most importantly, if my plans changed, I couldn't change my check-in date, not even two days in advance. Even delaying the check-in by one day wasn't allowed. Contacting Ctrip was useless. I've never seen such an arrogant hotel; the service didn't match its price. The breakfast was also bad; there wasn't much good food. The tsampa provided by the hotel wasn't even as good as a 15-yuan serving outside. Think twice before staying here."

"The hotel has a great location, not far from the Potala Palace, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and equipped with humidifiers, air conditioning, and oxygen generators, with comfortable temperature and humidity. I especially loved the hotel breakfast; while the variety wasn't huge, it was very refined and delicious, including my favorite tofu pudding and perfectly cooked white porridge. I even extended my stay for another night because of it. During this trip to Lhasa, I stayed in a Tibetan-style guesthouse, and Atour Hotel was definitely the best value for money."

"The hotel room type is great, and the view is also excellent. You can see the Potala Palace right from your bed, and even from the bathtub. However, I wouldn't recommend using the bathtub right after arriving in Lhasa, as it might worsen altitude sickness. The only minor downsides were that the bathtub's cleanliness could be improved, and they weren't thorough enough in checking if bath salts had been used. The breakfast was delicious though!"

"This was the worst hotel experience of our entire Yunnan-Tibet trip. The room itself was decent, and you could see the Potala Palace from afar. The sofa bed was also free to use. However, upon checking in, we found bugs in the complimentary fruit platter. After contacting the front desk, we still had to go find staff to come and deal with it ourselves – a whole bunch of bugs, which was really off-putting. The diffused oxygen supply was time-limited and couldn't be turned on whenever needed, which is problematic when you encounter sudden altitude sickness during high-altitude travel. Luckily, we stayed healthy throughout our trip. The laundry and drying service was ineffective; our clothes were still damp when we got them back. On a positive note, one front desk staff member was excellent. After hearing our clothes were damp, he proactively offered to help hang them out to dry, and his attitude was very good. While the facilities were acceptable, the supporting services really fell short. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone sensitive to altitude sickness."

You can see the Potala Palace from the roof. Service: The Tashis in the hotel are very handsome and help with luggage. The front desk lady is very gentle. I came to find a thermometer with a fever at 5 am, which woke up the lady. She also gave me a thermometer and gave me precautions."
