The hotel was amazing and the owners were extremely nice and welcoming. We got a free upgrade. The view from our bedroom was very nice. The food was delicious, we strongly recommend the bamboo rice and the eggplants. They offer international and Chinese breakfast. We were able to try traditional costumes for free. It is very well located and you can go to the viewpoints easily. We were also able to go see the illuminated rice terraces at night thanks to the kind advice of the owner.

It has a beautiful and unique spot in the area. You only need to walk 3 min, and you are in the middle of the rice fields. So beautiful. Rooms are like in the pictures, very traditional style. The only thing I could critisize is that inside the hotel it's a bit cold and that they need to check with guest if they prefer western/ Chinese breackfast options, so they can choose and not assume and just prepare it based in if they are Chinese or not. The lady at the entrance was kind and very helpful.

The driver drove us from the Ping'anzhai parking lot to the road closest to the B&B and helped us carry our suitcases to the B&B. He was a very nice person. The panoramic room has a very good view. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the B&B to the Kowloon Five Tigers Observation Deck. In the evening, the terraced fields are already filled with water, which is very beautiful! I had two meals in the B&B. Although bamboo tube chicken and bamboo tube rice are the specialties, chicken soup, bacon fried rice and bacon fried bamboo shoots are more delicious! The rice wine they brewed was delicious. I drank the rice wine they gave me and bought a big bottle to take away.

On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this! But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here. Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.
