TownePlace Suites Louisville Northeast

I will probably stay another 2 years for work. There are closer hotels to where I work but they treat me like a king here and are very professional. I highly recommend this hotel. Plenty of nearby places to eat etc.

Business travel can be rough. Driving eight plus hours for an agitated customer simply adds another layer. On the way home, I stopped off at this establishment due to pure exhaustion. Chelsea was world-class awesome. She acknowledged my hotel status and asked if I would prefer a room away from everyone. She should give a class on being a hotel professional. The water pressure in the shower was unusually low and disappointing.

I would love to give this hotel a great rating but beware of the GM. Our room for the Towneplace was reserved on 3/20/2022. GM Angela Kretzer took it upon herself to “upgrade” the room to a king suite on the Fairfield side of the hotel the day we were to check in. I was told this was due to the hotel being overbooked. When I asked the manager for the room I booked months ago, I was told it was not available. I asked him to get the GM on the phone and his response was that she won’t answer my calls. Why was a room I booked months ago taken from me? This room was specifically reserved because of my disabled daughter, so we had the room and the kitchen to prepare her special diet, store her meds and have a bed for her to sleep in. The reservation was made for 2 adults and 1 child. When it was cancelled (NOT BY ME) and changed to Fairfield, it was only for 2 guests. I have screen shots and emails to back all of this up. Why was I not notified or asked? How does this happen? $60 taken off of my bill was an insult. I understand the hotel wants to be full, but to take a room that has been booked for months and give to someone who just placed a reservation or was it the large party that was there? Just beware they will take your room if it suits their needs.

Although we were trying to use our Marriott points, the Towneplace suites was not our first choice, but turned out to be our best choice. We stayed two nights in a studio suite. It has a full kitchen, one of the best bath and shower combinations I have seen in years. It was quiet, clean and a great location. It would be easy to spend a week there. My next Visit to Louisville will bring we right back to the same hotel.
