Upon arrival at the hotel our transfer was around 2- 2.5 hours from the airport, we had a direct transfer without any stops. As we arrived late, there were no facilities open apart from duty free in the airport at night to buy snacks / drinks so make sure you have some if you need it prior to leaving your departure airport or the airplane onboard snacks. At arrival they did however save us some food and plated up a salad, some chicken, rice and potatoes which was a nice touch and gave us a large bottle of water. This was around 11pm. Tunisia is a closed currency so if you need some and haven’t organised this at the airport, there is a cash point approximately 10 mins walk from the hotel. At the hotel our check in process was easy and we were given a selection of rooms to chose from. We chose the sea view which was basic, but definitely fine for our needs. Please note, this hotel probably was a 5* back in the day, but realistically it’s more like 3*. We had 2 single beds, separate toilet and bathroom with a balcony. The tv had Channels but were mainly in French. WiFi throughout the hotel is pretty good though so you can use your phone to stream to the tvs etc if you want to. The room was carpeted throughout and many have criticised this - we personally didn’t see this as an issue as it was cleaned daily and the maids were in the room daily to clean/ change towels etc. The food is relatively basic and repetitive. We came at the start of season so it’s probably unfair to give a full true reflection but we managed to find something to eat everyday without failure, although found breakfast the most limited. There is however cereal, omelettes, eggs and crepes which we tended to eat repetitively. Lunches varied generally with the options being fish or beef with rice or potatoes and similarly with the evening meal with sometimes offering turkey or chicken. At breakfast you can pay 4 dinar for fresh orange - worth it! Please note every day there is Pizza freshly made so at the very least you’ll definitely find something to eat. The bar soft drinks are Fanta/ coke / lemonade, then there is strawberry juice, lemon and orange (these are like dilute but extremely strong). There is also a machine which you can find with breakfast offering pineapple juice, apple, orange, tropical juice etc. again we found we had to dilute with a little water. At the bar you can ask for water and they give you a big bottle of 1.5l which is handy so don’t buy this from the shop on site! As for alcoholic drinks there are local spirits, beer, wine and cocktails. The cocktails vary depending on who makes them but I would say the pina colada was probably the closest to what it should taste like. Please note it is quite pushy for sales of quads/ camels or The spa treatments, equally if you go out into the town of Mahdia make sure you hide your wristband! They use the local “oh I’m a chef at your hotel” technique to lure you into their shops to buy souvenirs. It is ext

We were abit dubious after reading the recent reviews but how wrong they are. We had the most incredible holiday. The location is great there a small row of shops along the front also quad bikes and a small train that takes you on a tour round Mahdia old town which I would recommend. The hotel itself was great clean and well maintained pools the beach is just perfect both the pool and beach attendants were there straight away getting the loungers etc ready. Also the sellers on the beach don't get close to the loungers which is nice as there are alot of them but we were never once hassled and felt uncomfortable by any of them. The rooms were big separate toilet to shower etc which was nice. Big balcony with a gorgeous view of the pool and beach. The food was great fresh pancakes, omelette etc in the morning and different meats potatoes etc for meals. I would recommend the fresh bread near the pizza bar it was so good and still hot. Our shy toddler wanted to go to the disco the animation team worked so hard to get her to join in dancing they were fantastic also no pressure from them if you didnt want to join in at the pool games etc. Also the guest relations lady was so helpful, she made us a hand written map of mahdia old town and showed us where to find a cliff side cafe, we went and was not disappointed the view was stunning. The few downsides would be: -yes its a way from the airport but we paid for a private transfer and got there in 1.5 hours which wasn't bad at all. -pillows were lumpy but the bed itself was comfortable so I could deal with that. -drinks in the morning such as the juices far to sweet like syrup. -the kids disco could have been in a better place than the dingy nightclub was really hidden and out the way.

No WiFi so remote work cannot be done. Pillows were uncomfortable with lots of lumps inside (no joke). The staff made me wait till 15:00 to get key to my room instead of 13:00. The food is very poor and they did not have traditional desserts either. I would strongly recommend going Turkey instead of Tunisia. Originally I got booked 7 night stay but now im staying only a night and getting the next flight tomorrow.

We stayed last week, the food is a bit repetitive but it was fine. The transfer from the airport is around 4 hours and we didn’t arrive to 4 in the morning. Check in was quick and efficient. All the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The highlight of the holiday is the Amination Team, they are fantastic and make sure that you are having a great time. Especially Lucka he deserves a promotion, he went above and beyond to include us in all games and made them so much fun. I would definitely visit again

The hotel is dated to say the least. In a nut shell don't book here. Water pressure is nonexistent, no plugs, cleaners not great, seems to just smear something out on surfaces. The beds are rock solid, and this was after I upgraded to a suite in the hope the room was better. . (Nope) The food preparation is awful, nearly Choked on squid that still had the membrane on (see photo). The food is cold, but don't worry they have one microwave. I expect some food the same each day, but not most days. Best thing was fresh pitta baked for lunch, but they last 20ins so don't be late The waiting staff don't give a crap, have to get most of the stuff yourself as they are busy talking, they have no pepper, and salt is one to 10 tables. . You get a time share of about 1 minute then it's needed elsewhere. Food is overcooked from the grill, how I don't know, had to instruct one cook to turn my eggs before they turned to crisp. If you are British this place is not for you, mainly French and German. If you want a bed, get up at 7am, otherwise there are none. Most communal toilets don't flush or have paper, so stay close to your room, as we all got Tunisian tummy here

My friend and I had a fabulous week , we came out to surprise her boyfriend who works at the hotel, Bibo is his name, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food wasn’t great but it hadn’t fully opened for the season so we didn’t mind so much and it was mega cheap to go. Back to Bibo as he is known in the hotel or Brahim is his real name, what an awful person he is, my friend was his girlfriend for a year, he strings girls along, had 3 on the go at once with my friend being the longest running one. Well he also managed to accumulate a fiancé somewhere along the line as well, so that’s 4 young girls who’s lives have been turned inside out by this person called Bibo, this was all found out over the last 2 days, I don’t and can’t understand why. Be careful around this young man, he is far from genuine
