It was a beautiful resort but... definitely not as luxurious as it claims to be. We had an excellent server who was kind and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, my friends and I got scammed by the driver who the hotel recommended (seems like they were in cahoots ) and every place we went we were pressured to tip and participate. Also, an air that everyone is trying to get you to tip them not actually just doing nice things. Just be careful.

They hosted a new years party where we had ordered specific vegetarian food. They agreed to cater for us and paid the equivalent charges however when we got there, the food was not available as per the request and I had hungry children and a diabetic husband. They kept telling us from 9.30pm that they are preparing but nothing came on our table until we argued. We had to beg for our food and eventually got it at the strike of 12 midnight hence we missed out on the fireworks and the party as we were busy chasing for our food. The manager was really horrible who lied to us that they were preparing as per their conformation but only started to chop veggies until they saw us in the kitchen at 10.30pm as we went to ask for our food. She defended herself despite sorting it out on time and we didn't get our full refund back either. She gave out a figure and tried to get away with giving a lower amount then what she had quoted until we had to argue about that also. They ruined our experience totally. Very unaccomodative and horrible service!

My wife and I stayed at Kasa Hotel in Malindi on December 2nd and 3rd, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything about this place is stunning, from the beautiful design to the relaxing atmosphere—it felt like a little slice of paradise. The standout for us was the amazing staff. Mildred at the restaurant was simply outstanding. She made sure every detail was just right and brought such warmth and care to every interaction. The gentleman at the cash register in the restaurant was also incredibly friendly and welcoming—it felt like chatting with an old friend. At the front desk, the gentleman who assisted us was professional, kind, and made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The lush gardens and serene pool area created the perfect backdrop for unwinding, and the rooms were not just comfortable but thoughtfully decorated to match the coastal vibe. The food was another highlight. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. We especially loved dining by the ocean in the evening—it was the perfect way to end each day. The location struck the perfect balance. It’s close enough to explore the town of Malindi but tucked away enough to feel like a private retreat. On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give a solid 5. That said, there’s always room for improvement in any experience, and I’m confident the hotel will continue to elevate its offerings. If you’re visiting Malindi, Kasa Hotel is an excellent choice, and we’d happily return in the future.

10/10 experience in every way. The place is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is amazing. It is located on its own private beach with caves and turtles! I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back! Thank you Kasa Team you are the best!

I had a wonderful stay at The Kasa Malindi. The villas offer great privacy, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming. I particularly appreciated the service from Beryl, Mildred, and Eli. Eli, in particular, made fantastic cocktails and ensured we had a great time

Had one of the most disappointing experiences with Kasa. First of all the rooms looked nothing like the photos on booking websites. No paintings, TVs, no hair dryers, and everything painted white so it looked a bit like a hospital room. We had no running water whatsoever 2 mornings in a row. There were also rolling electricity blackouts. Communication from the staff was poor. Service was extremely slow. For example it took 1 hour and repeated chases to get 2 coffees. The menu was limited and many of the options were unavailable. We asked the reception to book us a table at a very popular restaurant the next day. They agreed but told us in the morning it was closed until further notice, but when we called ourselves it was open. The managers acknowledged all of the issues we’ve had but refused to issue even a partial refund since we paid 4 stars and received significantly less. They instead offered a free dinner which we declined. Instead of taking ownership of the faults, management kept blaming the local staff for supposedly being incompetent, and local utilities companies for lack of water or electricity. Long story short, since Leopard Point became Kasa, very poor management has ruined the quality of the service. There are many other hotels in Malindi that are less expensive and more accommodating (eg White Elephant), would not recommend the Kasa. Otherwise Malindi is beautiful, nice beaches, warm weather. Just pick a different hotel or airbnb.

We were excited about our stay with my 11-year-old niece. Mildred, who served us was wonderful. Firstly, they put a child in a different villa along with other adults. We had to check out urgently the next day, and we charged for the nights we spent with the promise of a redeemable voucher for the non-refundable balance. It took more than 2 weeks for management to approve the said voucher, In the end, they could not offer us a voucher for the balance. Very disappointing and unprofessional.
