Suites & Villas by Dunas

It's a very nice accomodation for families with small children. The beds were hard but the rest of the accommodation and park was amazing. We were in the family area in a senior family suite and this was renovated/looked very nice. The all inclusive is as good as can be expected from all inclusive. They have around 5 themes in the restaurants so the variety of the food is good. The quality of the food as well. The only things that would make it even better would be a slide of some sort and maybe a small pool bar by the family area. It's only a 2 minute walk to the main pool bar, but if also have to keep an eye on the kids;)

Great experience we stayed for a week in feb half term and cannot fault the hotel - we upgraded to all inclusive definitely worth while as there are no bars or supermarkets close by (there is one in the sister hotel but it’s small ) The daytime entertainment team was excellent great atmosphere and fantastic for the kids. At time they also worked really hard . Fantastic that you cannot reserve sun beds till 10am and food quality and drinks was excellent Only Criticism would be lack of entertainment if you don’t want to watch the mail show or once it’s finished a bar with some music would have been great Grab a taxi to melonorea for a change of scenery €5

We had another great holiday at Dunas Suites & Villas! Our 3rd time (+1 Maspalomas resort). The hotel is great, great vibe, comfortable apartment and fantastic animation team led by Tania! We were given a family villa which was nice and spacious, comfy beds with good facilities - kettle, fridge, refreshments etc. We went half board so we could eat out more often than not. Breakfast is great (although more toasters and teaspoons would not go amiss). The (paid) Taste bar in reception is great - good atmosphere, great drinks/cocktails and shows some football. Thanks to all the staff. But special mention for the animation team for their efforts and great energy, day in day out. Thank you Tania, Grimi and Paul (Pol?) for your fitness classes. Will be back again.

Only getting around to review now, we stayed here in august, group of 8, couple of children and adults. Hotel is very nice, spread out but all on one level so good for anyone with mobility issues. Food was of a good quality and plenty of it, always tables available and no major issues. Pool area is nice, games in the pool were great fun and water polo can get very competitive, overall we loved the pool, always beds available and staff would remove towels if placed before 10am. There is a sports bar by reception that would show any sport you wanted, I watched the F1, the drinks there are now included but if I had to go into town I would have paid anyway, and it saved me the walk. Location is handy for the town just a 3/4 mile walk, with nice shops and restaurants if you want a change, just €5 taxi ride if you don’t want to walk. I would recomend this hotel, kids pool could do with slides. Entertainment was generally good but the lion king show was excellent, really well done to the staff, kids loved it.

We had a wonderful time in Suites and Villas by Dunas. Everyone was so nice and helpful - from the reception, to the bar, restaurant and cleaning team. We were all inclusive - the food was delicious and varied. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was nice, not enormous but had enough sunbeds. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.The entertainment team is working hard and are really fun. The only downside for us was the entertainment was a bit noisy up to after 11.00 p.m which is not ideal for small children, but it was not too bad, so we were able to go to sleep somewhat on time. The beach is 15 min stroll - we loved it! All in all wonderful vacation,worth coming again!

We have just returned from a week half board as a family and a couple. I want to start with all the bits we liked. The rooms were brilliant, we upgraded to a kids pool front suite which was amazing as we just opened the doors and the pool was there. The grounds of the hotel were kept so clean and tidy! The entertainment staff around the pool were brilliant with the kids. Soft drinks available were good and reasonable priced (with us not being AI) The location is lovely with it being 25 minute walk to beach and restaurants. Shop on site sold most bits you needed to. Now for why i only thing this is three star. The food although the choice was okay - nothing cold was labelled which for a parent with a child with allergy it wasn't good. Food was never served hot, only warm and plates were cold. You couldn't get a decent glass of fruit juice. All from concentrate and the smoothies were vile (avacado, coriander celery and mint one day) We had cockroaches in our room (as did a lot of people we met) and our air con didn't work for three days. The manager was so rude to me (although not to my husband) which was frustrating. This kids club was DIRE - THE STAFF CLEARLY AREN'T TRAINED and they literally ignored my daughter. Sat talking Spanish drawing together - never included her. She was terrified and begged to leave which is not like her as she loves kids club normally. One also said F**K word after he dropped something. Which was completely inappropriate.
