I just wanted to warn people that they be very careful about putting down a deposit on a B&B's in Cuenca, Ec, condo without reading the small print about deposits. In January 2025 we gave a deposit of over $300 for a condo advertised as "Cozy Apartment" Brenda as the host" for the end of July 2025. A couple of weeks later we had to cancel because of a medical emergency. Even though we were giving the owner a 5 month warning ahead of time the owner would not return the deposit. Brenda, the host, was very kind and responsive but the owner of the apartment seems to have no heart at all.
