My husband and I stayed in the Junior Suite at La Corte Vetere and had an incredible experience. The room itself — an actual cave — was unlike anything we’d ever seen, beautifully done and full of character. Claudio’s hospitality was exceptional; he stayed in touch with us directly via WhatsApp and was always helpful. Matera is a stunning old town with excellent restaurants, lovely cafés, and plenty of historic sites to explore.

We are Canadian travellers who stayed at the LaCorte Vetere during our recent visit to Southern Italy. Visiting Matera and staying at the La Corte Vetere was a highlight of our trip. The BandB is in the heart of the old city and is located within a stone grotto and has recently been renovated. Our room was very spacious with high ceilings and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the view overlooking Matera was an enjoyable way to begin the day. Most of all Marta , our hostess, was very attentive and kind and always willing to help. We recommend LACorte Vetere for accommodation for travellers to Matera.

I enjoyed my visit to Matera, and my stay at B&B La Corte Vetere. I made arrangements through email with the owner. The reservation was easy and informal. I got a text message with a video that was very helpful in locating the B&B in the byzantine streets of Matera. I was on a bicycle tour around Puglia, and was able to park my bicycle in a secure place in their locked courtyard during my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It's in an old part of the town, but has modern amenities. My internet connection was good and fast. The views from the courtyard are stunning. The breakfast was nice, and pleasant. The host was kind and polite. She makes a good cup of coffee. I highly recommend La Corte Vetere for a visit to Matera.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti nella stanza cisterna Confortevole, un’ottima colazione; sia la signora che si occupa delle colazioni sia la ragazza che ci ha ricevuti, molto cordiali. Ci sono margini di miglioramento per quanto ti riguarda l’illuminazione della camera (davvero molto scura) e negli accessori del bagno. Molto piccolo e senza alcun supporto per posare saponi, asciugamani, carta igienica Buona la pulizia. Ottima la posizione

Negatif : - On nous demande de régler la taxe de sejour à peine arrivé sans même nous donner un verre d'eau. - On a l'impression de déranger. - La literie est à changer d'urgence. - Malgré les jolies photos du petit déjeuner, en réalité il n'en est rien ( pas de fruits, pain pas terrible, pas de buffet ... ) De plus vous ne pourrez pas profiter de la vue car votre emplacement est imposé. - La mention EcoFriendly est mensongère, plastique à usage unique utilisé à profusion pour le déjeuner ( confiture, nutella ), verre en plastique dans la chambre, ... Positif : - Emplacement idéal - Chambre fraiche En conclusion, le rapport qualité/prix est mauvais. On ne recommande pas du tout cet endroit.

Ben ristrutturata, accogliente. Esperienza fantastica dormire nei "sassi". Il servizio taxi ti porta fino a 10 metri dalla struttura, poi devi andare a piedi, ma non è faticoso. Posizione strategica per visitare tutti i sassi. Il panorama è fantastico. Qualità prezzo punteggio pieno 10.

In mezzo ai sassi, stanze con entrate indipendenti. Colazione ricca in un incantevole cortile con vista sui sassi. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Unica pecca la cura dei dettagli della camera, abbiamo trovato porta sapone, porta spazzolini e specchio rotti. Nulla di grave... anche se da un senso di trascuratezza alla camera.
