Breakfasts are not very good at all, the gym is always closed, you have to go to the reception for the key, the lock broke three times. The beach is good.

Overall the hotel is great, but what is even greater are the people working there. All the smiles and talks with every one of the staff we had made us enjoy the trip even more. Special thanks to our cleaner Emmanuel, breakfast waiter Ankit and the hotel manager JP for all the help and friendly conversations! Just go there! The hotel arranges amazing trips and taxi drivers and basically anything you could need during your stay! We'd love to visit them again.

The Palmist is an amazing hotel. The staff are really friendly, and work hard to keep the hotel spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, minutes away from a beautiful beach. I enjoyed some beautiful runs early in the morning. The routes either side of the hotel are stunning. The taxi drivers found it easy to come to collect me for breathtaking tours around this beautiful island. I appreciated the fresh, generous breakfasts ( I was bed and breakfast), especially the omelettes. I am an early bird, so I only did a couple of the evening entertainment nights, but I did really enjoy the live music and the Mauritian dancing night.

After reading quite a few negative reviews we booked anyway for 2 weeks on a bed and breakfast basis, The Hotel and staff where superb, Clean and comfortable, The food however was terrible we only had Breakfast 1 day in the 14 days we stayed Also double the price of any of the near by Restaurants, It was cold apart from the omelet which was cooked fresh, But the variety wasn't good at all, They could do so much more. We don't want to be negative about Love Hollidays who we booked through, But suggest that they do more checks on the hotel especially the food issues before Reccomending it to customers

Positioned on the edge of the small town this hotel has excellent access to the beach, small shops, supermarket and bus routes just a few minutes walk. We were made to feel very welcome immediately , nothing was too much trouble - JP and the staff at the resort were professional and courteous... and we felt important. The accommodation was top notch and the rooms were big and airy with lovely verandas/balconies for all. There was entertainment each night but not to the degree where it would interrupt a quiet drink. Lunch was waiter service with 2 options on each course; this was a nice surprise on a full board tariff and the restaurant manager was always on hand to make sure all was as it should be. The cleaning staff were diligent and kept not only the rooms well ordered but the gardens and public areas too. Well done Le Palmiste 10/10
