I had a great time at The Wandering Paisa Hostel in Medellín. The hostel has a really welcoming and laid-back vibe, and it’s located in the Laureles neighborhood, which feels more local and authentic than the busier Poblado area. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. I loved the social activities, like the free salsa lessons and the language exchange nights—they made it easy to meet other travelers. The common areas were cozy, and the bar had reasonably priced drinks. My dorm room had a/c, but overall, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun and genuine experience in Medellín.

What one would always want from a hostel: large common spaces, friendly staff, excellent quality/price. Ah, free coffee. Excellent location, cool events and activities, good vibes. It would be very unfair to ask for more; Those who want a hostel with a terrace and pool on the 8th floor, but without personality, should stay in El Poblado.
