The hotel was OK but expensive. We had a wheelchair and access was a bit difficult. Our room was good but there was no safe box in the room. Staff was friendly.

This hotel is a big failure. My friends and I booked rooms separately and confirmed them several months in advance. We also paid the full amount. When the four of us went to the hotel counter to check in, they didn't say anything and just asked us to wait at the side. We waited for a long time. We asked again, but they didn't tell us the reason and just asked us to wait. We couldn't put down our luggage or go out for the trip. We asked many times, and finally after more than two hours, they told us that the room was oversold and they would arrange us to stay in a hotel three kilometers away. All the surrounding hotels are fully booked right now, and we can’t refuse to accept the offer, otherwise we will have nowhere to stay. We changed to another hotel three kilometers away, which was probably full. After waiting for a long time, we finally got two rooms, but neither of them had room cards. We could only queue up at the counter and find someone to get the room card to open the door every time. It took nearly 5 hours from the first booked hotel to the check-in at the second hotel. The hotel was fully booked. It took us half an hour just to queue at the counter and wait for someone to get the room card and open the door. We spent all our money on traveling and booked time to travel in this city, but all the time we spent waiting in the hotel was wasted. We couldn't go anywhere. It was a very dishonest hotel. In my life, I have never stayed in any large hotel (not a small inn) where you have to queue up at the counter to get the master room card to open the door. Sometimes their counter is busy and they ask us to wait at the door of the room and ask the cleaning staff to open it. After waiting for twenty minutes, no one came and I had to use the floor phone to call the counter, and the counter responded with surprise: No one is going to open the door? This is a hotel with real management problems and extremely dishonest. The hotel group is Emaar, and the surrounding area is full of hotels of this group.

Turned up after my Mecca trip, room wasn’t ready was told to wait till 3 we turned up at 2.50 but 3.15 room still not ready anyway after finally getting in my room. It’s was disaster to start with. Booked a family connecting room don’t get that mistaken it’s basically means 1 room with 2 small rooms one with triple beds one with large king but very basic stuff. One small fridge which was not in the main room nor tea kettle but somehow in the kids room which didn’t make sense. Very tiny bathroom, very run down not fit for purpose. After complaining that the room was terrible and there was a smashed window in my room was told they can’t help as booked through travel agents. That itself was another drama. Couldn’t upgrade as no other rooms could get 2 different rooms instead so ended up staying there. Anyways rooms weren’t cleaned in daily basis properly. Even thing beds made the plates, cups etc bins were not emptied until you complain then someone comes and takes. Rude staff need a lesson in customer services. Staff only really help if you give them money (tip) otherwise they are rude. If you don’t give them tip the ask you and tell you their life stories. The only good thing was close to the masjid nawbi otherwise nothing else good. deffo rating is off no way that’s a 4 star looking more like 3. Breakfast was awful kids refused to have it so pointless paying breakfast options as same food everyday. Not nice lacks flavour and options. Won’t be going back again ever. Oh wait was bribed with fruit basket for a good review lol anyways we said no to it.

The breakfast was horrid. The rooms basic and the distance to the haram was a good walk to the ladies section. I definitely got my steps in ! Beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were worse, one was a large square weird pillow and the other a small weird one. Didn't have a single decent nights sleep. Did I mention the lazy concierge couldn't be bothered to bring out a trolley for 8 suitcases and 8 cabin cases and more. We all had to wheel our luggage in, lazy so and so. Then we arrived at Fajr tube so the receptionist left the reception and went to pray so we had to wait over an hour before getting checked in. We were knackered surely you would think that a hotel would have alternative staff. They should not all be going at the same time to pray. How unprofessional. Would not stay here again.

Lovely hotel over 10 floors. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Daily room cleaning. Friendly reception staff. Clean bathroom although our showerscreen has half the screen missing therefore water is likely to drizzle onto the floor as not enough coverage. Nice restaurant however no1 serving fresh omelettes or fried eggs which would be nice. Overall a great hotel and a stones throw away from haram. Supermarket shop next door great to buy essential and a tonne of food places just behind on the main road a a couple of minutes walking distance ! Every cuisine known to man !
