Good basic 3 star hotel, old but clean, had everything we needed, just the one hydronic heater wasnt really enough to keep the room warm so it was a tad chilly but they did supply an extra heater in the bathroom which helped that end of the room so that was good. Handy to Mt Buller which is what we were after. Don't forget bread or milk as you will pay an absolute premium for it at their store.

I’ve been coming the motor inn for many years. It has always been a really fun and friendly experience up until now. The new management don’t appear to like guests or understand it’s not really a thing to turn away people from a bar on an AFL semi final weekend. Pretty flat and uninspiring ‘service’. Next time, I’ll stay in Mansfield. No wonder this place is empty…

No wonder the place is empty….. poor hospitality, flat old pillows, freezing rooms, and no footy on in the bar. New owners have taken this place to the toilet. After coming here for years, I’ll be staying somewhere else next time!

We didn’t stay here but went for dinner on Parma night (Wednesday’s). The food came out quite fast, was a really decent serve size and was delicious. I had the American and my partner had the Irish. Both were so good. We wish we could have tried them all (there’s so many great options). I recommend booking as it was quite busy.

Paid for package including breakfast. Advised breakfast no longer incl. but offered us 20% off if we paid ????? 🥴 hmmm !! One particular man(dy)ager is still very very rude. Unprofessional communicator. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR & STAY SOMEWHERE NICE and friendly. (property is for SALE !!! Grumpy staffer & probably why it’s not an enjoyable place to stay)

After a very difficult day in the High Country, following a motor vehicle accident, we stayed at the Merrijig Motor Inn. The staff were very kind, friendly and hospitable and went out of their way to help us get back on our feet again. Thank you! The room was very spacious and well designed for a family. The breakfast was delicious!

Staff are rude, and picked and chose who they served. We were waiting in line and when other customers walked into the store after us, they were served first. When questioning this, we were attacked saying they were already in line from the night before...? When providing feedback, Mindy attacked with incorrect information rather than taking on the feedback. Not the attitude you'd expect for someone in hospitality.
