Queensberry House

I really enjoyed staying at Queensberry House. Caroline and Miles are fantastic hosts and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to park on the street right out front. You can walk to shops and restaurants easily. It's a great place to explore the area during the day and get a good rest at night.

We enjoyed our stay at the Queensberry House. It is situated conveniently (for the myriad walks the town offers and also for restaurants and shops in the town center) on a quiet street. The ground floor room (Heather) was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts are made to order and were tasty. The hosts were warm and hospitable and were generous in the accommodations they made for us.

What a super B&B, so welcoming and homely. From our initially contacting Caroline and Miles, booking and organising our stay, we received information after booking to peruse at our leisure at home. Information about local area, eating places in Moffat gave us an insight into where we were visiting. On our arrival Caroline & Miles welcomed us into their home. The room was warm and comfortable, with fresh milk provided for drinks. Breakfast ordered day before, excellent, cooked to order, served hot on hot plates! Nothing was too much trouble to ensure our stay was everything we’d hoped for, definitely will be staying again if we’re in the area.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Caroline and Miles were superb hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We even had a private breakfast dining experience to accommodate our wedding anniversary. The accommodation was superb, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and powerful shower. The breakfast was so tasty, and cooked to perfection. No problem with parking, and the location was ideal as we could walk into Moffat with ease. Caroline and Miles were on hand to recommend places to eat and visit, a wealth of knowledge. Can't wait to return.

We spent two nights in this first class B&B run by a lovely couple Caroline and Miles. The house is on a quiet road on the edge of Moffat but within easy walking distance of the town. Parking is directly out side the house which is immaculate and spotlessly clean as was our room. The on suite was fine with an efficient shower. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice on offer which is ordered the night before. On arrival we had a chat over tea and shortbread about Moffat and surrounding area . Caroline and Miles are very knowledgeable regarding this and Caroline had already recommended and kindly booked us a table at an excellent Italian restaurant in town prior to our arrival. Nothing is too much trouble for them from hot water for our flask to fresh cold milk for tea in our room. We have stayed in Moffat before and couldn’t get in here as fully booked, we now see why it’s so popular. Cannot recommend this B&B enough and hope to return next time we visit Scotland. Dave & Lyn.

Giles and Caroline were first class hosts, they were quietly friendly and helpful. We had tea and shortbread on arrival and were shown the varied breakfast menu in the guest lounge. Our room was on the ground floor near to the dining room. We enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and yogurt, the scrambled egg s and salmon on toast, dressed with fresh dill. My husband loved the mushroom, bacon and cheese omelette. On another day we had a delicious full Scottish breakfast. Served with fresh decaf cafetière. There were more choices had we stayed longer. A good selection of bread for our toast! I won’t bore you with the ample choices but this B and B is well worth a visit!
