Black Bull Inn, Moffat

"Avoid this place! The bedroom was not in the hotel but around the corner ( #16) the door opened straight onto the main road (A701) and had a massive shop front window so the noise was constant. There was a gap at the side of the door allowing light, cold and noise in. The key was a digital fob that didn't always work and there was no security chain on the door which made for a stressful 3 nights stay. The shower room was a wet room with insufficient slope to the drain so after showering the floor was so wet you couldn't use the toilet without getting wet feet. No radiator in the shower room so was cold.Sink was tiny and a mid thighs height making washing your face almost impossible.No where to put toiletries or hang up towels except on the disabled hand rail for the toilet or the shower stool. There was no breakfast available during our stay. The hotel was locked all morning and our fob key didn't give us access. Dined there on the first night. The food was very expensive and poor quality. Rubbery dry burger and cold chips. The bar shut at 9pm so we were being badgered to leave from about 8.30. Waitress was brash and quite unpleasant."

"A pleasant Hotel centrally located in the town . The rooms have all necessary amenities and clean. The beds could do with plumper pillows though. Breakfast is payable separately and was filling and freshly cooked to order. The bar prices were very reasonable"
