I usually don't like to write reviews, but as the last hotel I stayed in during my trip to Russia, I couldn't help but write a review, hoping to provide some reference for friends who see it.
Background: The hotel for the last night of my trip to Russia has not been booked because the itinerary may change. We are a family of two adults and two children who need to live in a larger room or apartment. We searched on Ctrip for a long time and found that the room of this hotel is large enough for 4-5 people, and it is not too far from the subway. In addition, the price is relatively cheap, so we chose this one.
Time: We took the night train from St. Petersburg on the evening of February 1 and arrived in Moscow on the morning of February 2. The hotel was booked for one night on February 2.
Service: The train arrived at the Leningrad Railway Station in Moscow at more than 8 o'clock in the morning, so we took a taxi to the hotel before 9 o'clock. Because we arrived early, the first guy on duty had not changed shifts yet, and he looked unhappy. I said I wanted to check in, and he asked me if I had purchased early check in. I said no, and he said that we could only check in after 2 pm, so we left our luggage at the hotel and went out for a walk. Arrived at the hotel at 3pm, a girl was on duty. When checking in, she said that a deposit of 10,000 rubles was required. Later, I checked the hotel details on Ctrip and found that the deposit was stated. The hotel said that cash or credit card was accepted, but if a bank card was used, it would be returned to you after 5 days. After a long discussion, I paid a deposit of 800 RMB.
The most annoying thing was that the hotel said that if you only stayed for one night, you would not be allowed to register. I asked why, and the girl on duty said that this was a rule. I asked her where this rule was, whether it was the rule of your hotel or the government, but she ignored me and had a very indifferent attitude. The general meaning was that if you wanted to stay, you could stay, and if you didn't want to stay, you could leave. Later, I thought about it and just stayed for one night. When checking out the next morning, another girl was replaced. She didn't even look at me during the whole check-out process. After returning the deposit to me, she ignored me when I said thank you to her.
Surroundings: Before booking the hotel, I saw that there was a subway in the surrounding transportation, which seemed to be quite convenient. It was not far from the subway, but Line 7 was actually very remote, and it was very troublesome to transfer to other subways. In addition, there were basically few banks and restaurants around, so it was a bit difficult for you to change money or have a proper meal.
Facilities: I didn't pay attention to the specific facilities when I checked this hotel on Ctrip before. After checking in, I found that there were no basic disposable items such as toothbrushes, combs, slippers, and other razors and shower caps. Moreover, the windows in the room leaked air, and the heating was not hot at all. The physical experience in the room was quite worse than that of other hotels.
Tips: When I checked this hotel on Ctrip before, I also saw that some friends wrote comments saying that they had a relatively bad experience. I thought it might be just an individual case, but after experiencing it myself, I found that this hotel did have service problems. You don't feel that you are a guest staying there at all. The cold attitude of the front desk is like you owe him money. It feels like you can stay or not, and there is also a feeling of dislike for foreigners.
This objective and subjective evaluation is for your reference. If you have already chosen this hotel, I wish you good luck!
Finally, I have to give a thumbs up to Ctrip. Ctrip’s customer service is quite awesome, and they will actively help communicate and solve any problems.
