Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat

Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat ★★★★

📍 New Arbat Ave, 15, Arbat, Moscow

"Beyond the great location, there's nothing else positive to say. Overall, it's comparable to a basic, no-frills budget hotel in China."

Metropol Hotel
9.3 (214 reviews)

Metropol Hotel ★★★★★

📍 Teatralny proezd, 2, Tverskoy, Moscow

"I'd come back to Moscow just for this hotel. I learned about this hotel, which has existed since 1905, from the book 'A Gentleman in Moscow.' It truly lives up to its reputation as the 'flower of Russian hotels.' I stayed for three nights and was extremely satisfied. Our room was a 'Historical Suite,' which actually consisted of two separate rooms, two beds, and two bathrooms, separated by a curtained door. It would comfortably accommodate a family of four, though it was just my father and I traveling. The breakfast was incredibly lavish and of very high quality, featuring champagne, caviar, various fresh juices, and a wide array of food. The staff were both attractive and highly professional. The Savva restaurant inside the hotel, which I believe used to have a Michelin star, was excellent; I had one meal there and would highly recommend it. The borscht, fish, and meat were all very good. In short: it's expensive for a reason, and I'll definitely be back."

Mercure Moscow Paveletskaya

Mercure Moscow Paveletskaya ★★★★

📍 ulitsa Bakhrushina 11, Zamoskvorechye, Moscow

"I booked three and a half months in advance. I immediately realized I had selected the wrong date and requested a change, but they were completely unable to accommodate any modifications, resulting in me losing the cost of one night. The front desk staff spoke English, their service attitude was acceptable, and luggage storage was available."

Ibis Moscow Centre Bakhrushina

Ibis Moscow Centre Bakhrushina ★★★

📍 ulitsa Bakhrushina, 11, Zamoskvorechye, Moscow

"The staff were very welcoming and spoke both English and Russian, and their Chinese was pretty good too. Environment: Not bad, though the room was a bit small. Service: The cleaning staff left a strange smell in the room after cleaning, which was really disgusting."

Artcourt Moscow Center Hotel (ex. Courtyard by Marriott City Center Hotel)

Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat ★★★★
"Was very difficult to find the hotel, great location but doesn’t give you a hotel vibe. No irons in the room , you have to go to a different floor to a public ironing room to get your clothes ironed. They did offer me a shattaf for both rooms which was awesome. I was told there’s no storage room to keep my luggage for two days -as I was traveling to St. Petersburg-. But when I was about to leave I found that there is indeed a storage room, but was not offered it when I asked. So I changed my booking to a different hotel on my return to Moscow , who happily kept my luggage with them until I retuned."

"Excellent service and attentive staff. The waiters at breakfast were very courteous, and the front desk allowed us to check out a few hours later. We felt like the most welcome and anticipated guests, which is the most important thing in a hotel. The mattress was comfortable. We stayed in a historic room; the decor was a bit dated. Next time, we'll opt for a modern room."

"Great hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful! For my birthday they gave me a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a cake! There is everything for a comfortable stay. Clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned every day. And the main feature of the hotel is the swimming pool, sauna and hammam, which are already included in the price of the stay! The best hotel I have stayed in Moscow! I will definitely come again and recommend it to my friends!"

"The hotel is tired and in need of renovation. It caters to groups of children, so you can expect to wait 30-40 minutes in line at reception. Early check-in is possible for 1.5k rubles, even if there are rooms available. I wouldn't stay there again."
