Terrible Experience – Unsafe for Families I had an extremely unpleasant stay at Gulf Hotel Colaba, and I strongly advise against choosing this hotel, especially for families. The staff, particularly the manager Jabbir Alom, displayed shockingly rude behavior. He lacks basic courtesy and does not know how to speak respectfully, especially towards women and families. The room conditions were appalling. The bedsheets were damp, and the overall hygiene was questionable. The rooms are much smaller than advertised in the pictures, giving a misleading impression. Worse still, the atmosphere of the hotel is completely inappropriate for families. Illegal activities seem to be rampant here, and there’s constant hookah smoke lingering in the air. The hotel is often filled with men smoking hookah, making it feel unsafe and uncomfortable. It’s also evident that the staff, backed by local political connections, behave like they are above the law. They act with arrogance, knowing that the police will turn a blind eye to complaints. The staff's behavior is unprofessional and intimidating, more like that of local goons than hospitality workers. Choosing this hotel was by far the worst decision of my life. It’s not a safe or clean environment, and I would urge anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere.
