Very nice hotel in an amazing location. Staff and service was outstanding and I will be forever grateful for being allowed to get the room at 8 am after a 36 hour journey from Australia with a baby. That's a level of flexibility with guest experience in mind I have not seen often.

Just next to the famous Hofbrahaus, steps away from Hard Rock Cafe, and a short walk to Marienplatz and to Viktualien Markt. If you like the liveliness of the merry drinkers at night, you can hear them clearly, even up from the higher levels. Otherwise, try to ask for a room that’s not facing Hofbrahaus. They have a nice “spa” room on Level 5 featuring herbal/floral tea and communal/complimentary Epone skincare products. Drinks in the fridge are free too but they don’t top it up unless you request for it and even then, they only top up the non-beer types. Could do better on this front, Platzl Hotel.. service is alright, staff are generally friendly

Very convenient location, it is near all the shopping area and Marienplatz. Approx 30 mins Uber ride from Munich airport to this hotel.
Rooms are clean and simply designed but for the price and location it is worth it!
Pfistermühle restaurant which is right beside Platzl Hotel is amazing too! Food is superb, highly recommend the steak and truffle pasta.
