Munich Maxvorstadt Hotels

The location is excellent - it is next to Munich railway station. And Lufthansa airport shuttle bus stop is literally outside the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. They loan me a kettle. And they allowed me to leave luggage.  The room is ok. The lift is small but working well. There is hot water shower and the heating radiator worked well.  I saw a gym but I didn’t use it.  I will definitely choose to stay at Amba again next time I visit Munich

NH Hotel review - Trash can was half full already when got to room, wasn't cleaned out - Front desk service was extremely slow and only one counter open. When they see that there is a long line then the front desk service staff should try to be quicker, don't chat around slowly. - Only 5-6 tissues left in tissue box. Not good. - Light beside bed too bright - Bathroom mirror very good - Television no channels working. We called to ask and they said ”no channels working today”. In modern day germany?! - Location is close to train station and DM. But it's not a great area of the city.

The trip was smooth. Breakfast buffet was nice, touch of Munich wursts and not crowded. Price is affordable for stay. Wifi works well. Elevator is bit tight. Not 24 hour service in front of the house , however accessible by house guests. Has kitchenette and dining wares. It’s clean, and good stay. Thank you!

The hotel’s service and location are excellent, and the cleanliness is also acceptable. However, there are quite a few homeless people in the surrounding area, which makes it a bit unsettling at night. In the evenings and afternoons, there are often sounds of arguments involving homeless people and drunk individuals. While the hotel itself is great, the surrounding environment can be somewhat off-putting... By the way, the hotel doesn’t provide a kettle, slippers, or toiletries like toothbrushes, so remember to bring your own.

The hotel is generally OK, the room is not too old, and it takes more than 15 minutes to walk to the train station. There is a swimming pool, but it is not big, and it is full of children and elderly people playing in the water. The gym is also very small. What I want to complain about is that the bath water is hot and cold, which is not the case for this kind of hotel. The napkins in the room are not replenished the next day after they are used up, and the paper and pen for writing are not replenished either.

The location for the hotel is great. Just mins of walk from central station right in the centre of Munich. You can catch an Uber to old town from the hotel. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the opposite direction from the train station. The hotel staff did a fast and amazing job cleaning the rooms. The counter staff are helpful and attentive. The price is affordable too. However, noise could be an issue whether your room is facing the streets (because of the tram and drunk people) as well as the back of the hotel (lots of sound from children during the day). Will definitely book here again in future

Stayed here for 2 nights in December. Self check-in instructions and have to check in from another hotel (Hotel Amba) which is right around the other street. Breakfast is also in served in Hotel Amba. Reception is not 24/7. Good for one night stay. They allow leaving luggage for storage after check-out. No free drinking water. They have coffee machine near reception.

Tour guide was not only knowledgeable but felt like a local even though he’s Irish but has been touring for fourteen years. The grasp and depth of his experience is deep and relatable. He also appears to genuinely enjoy and like what he does. Yes the reason I highly recommend Radiant Tours through TripAdvisor. The Dachau trip is not for the faint of heart but a must for history buffs, as well as local tour of downtown Munich with its rich history of the Great War and WWII.

The room is in the center of Munich, the location is good, and it is close to the subway station. However, the overall environment of the hotel is so-so, and the breakfast is so-so, which can only be considered barely edible. After all, in the city center, this price including breakfast is already cheap. However, I will not stay there next time because the light in the room is too dim, and the curtains are light-transmitting, which is not suitable for guests who require high sleep quality.

Creature comforts were well provided for, including the clothes line in the shower. Excellent coffee and breakfast at California Bean cafe next door. Perhaps the EUR10 voucher given in lieu of cleaning could be offered to the cleaning attendants as an additional option. Did not attempt to use the washing machine in the basement after seeing a hotel guest struggling with instructions. Self check-in took some time as we had to key in a lot of information while figuring out the German language.
