We had an incredible stay at Hotel Eiger in Murren. The staff throughout were all extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a double, forest facing room but ours was on the side of the building so we still had an incredible view of the mountains across the valley from our window/balcony. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean. Staying in a warmer period of June (even up in Murren it was hitting 80F) the room did get a bit hot at times, but it was perfect to open up our windows and breath in the cool, fresh Alpine air at night (seemingly no bugs flew in when doing so either). The breakfast served each morning, while not mindblowing, had a solid assortment of breads, cheeses, meats, oats/muesli, fruit, and some hot options which were typically eggs and bacon. We certainly were content with the quality and were able to fuel up for our hikes each morning. The spa/sauna facilities were also really great and clean, perfect for the end of a long day hiking in the mountains. If you're traveling to the Jungfrau region for some summer hiking, I highly recommend staying in Murren as there are some great trails passing through the village. And if you do choose to stay overnight there, I don't have enough good things to say about Hotel Eiger - I certainly will be staying there when I return!
