Amazing
GGuest UserReview of Onna Resort, Okinawa
About me:
I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip.
⸻
👍 What I liked:
• Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
• Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for.
• View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset.
• Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim.
• Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming.
• Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals.
• Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests.
⸻
👎 What could be improved:
• Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed.
• Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff.
• Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask.
• Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience.
• Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook.
• Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient.
• No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight.
• Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak
DDianeThe hotel was well maintained. They provided valet parking. Buffet breakfast was great.
However we as a family of four were only given two bottles of water and any extra water will be charged.
We asked for extra blankets and they smelt so bad like old dusty wardrobe… very rough to touch and my daughter hated them.
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this resort and had a wonderful experience. The room was magnificent and very spacious, offering a great sea view. The resort also has a good stall inside where you can buy souvenirs, which was quite convenient.
The restaurant at the resort was great, offering a wide variety of choices. Additionally, joining as a member provided a big discount to enjoy their buffet, which was a great perk.
Overall, I highly recommend staying at this resort for its spacious rooms, excellent sea view, convenient souvenir shopping, great restaurant options, and beneficial membership discounts for the buffet.
AADELINE SHIAO LINGStepped into a colorful and happy reception. Lobby also smelt really good.
Pros: lounges everywhere with almost all day free flow of beverages from beer, highball, sake, awomori, coffee and tea, as well as some nut snacks.
Bed and pillows were comfortable.
Cons:
1. check in via machine was very slow. Service staff did not step forward to help even though we were having trouble and was at the machine for a long time
2. Carpark is quite small so if u come back late, you'll need to park at their P2/P3 carpark which is quite far and dark to walk to at nite. We were 2 girls, and I dropped my partner with the luggage at the porch as it was raining heavily. And it was scary to walk back alone in the dark and rain.
3. Breakfast queue for food is quite long. Alot of food ran out and took quite awhile to be replenished. This was the place where I spent the longest for breakfast not because the spread was big but because we had to wait to get a table, and wait for food to be cooked or food to be replenished.
.
AAnonymous UserI used it for my first guesthouse stay. A nice couple who seemed to be close to each other welcomed me and politely guided me to the building. There is no TV in the room, but it was an extraordinary and good experience for me, who usually spends TV instead of BGM. The walls are thin so I can hear the voice in the next room well. However, there were many good manners, and it was relatively quiet after 22 o'clock.
KKaito KidzI think it’s very good hotel in onna cheap price and good service they have many parking and activities
When you check in you can chooses 1 for free I recommend glass boat very beautiful
The view from the hotel very good you can walk in the beach before 22:00
KKIAH PHENG MARVINMy first impression was the excellent sea view from our hotel room.
The location was perfect, right in front of the beach with full frontal sea view.
Our family booked the executive loft unit which was on the top floor. The children loved their separate private area in the loft.
Although there is no swimming pool or gym, it is not an issue for us because we were out most of the day and we can swim in the sea if we want to.
Breakfast was excellent too. Good variety of food and the quality was good too.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.
JjimmyThe resort looks fairly new, and the location is perfect for tourists to cover north or south of the island in terms of driving distance, and yet in the midst of quietness of coastal outskirts of okinawa.
We love the coin-operated laundry to allow us to wash/dry our clothes on our last day of stay.
Additional plus point is they offered 10% discount for guest to spend on their restaurant and convenient store. Must say we enjoyed their sabu-sabu meal, and this dish has to be reserved.
ネネオパーク1000We stayed for one night.
The bathroom ventilation fan was always running and was very loud.
My wife couldn't sleep so I don't think we'll be able to use it again.
The breakfast was delicious, but the table we were given at first was unstable and not suitable for eating, so we had to change seats. I think you would notice this with the usual settings.
VvjtThis homestay offers decent amenities. The rooms are quite tight with limited space to move around, but the common areas are spacious (so we placed all our luggages in the living room). The living room is a good size, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. There’s also a washer available. The location is a bit secluded, but manageable if you have a car. Conveniently, there’s a parking lot right outside the house.
