When I blindly booked this hotel, I, obviously didn't know what I was getting myself into. The hotel is cheap for a reason (the only reason why I booked this in the first place). It's too far from the beaches, from the shopping, from downtown Nassau, from good dining, from all of the excursions.... everything. I wanted to go to the Bahamas to take full advantage of the beaches. You can't do that unless you either walk for at least 30 min (which can get tiring if it's a super hot summer day), or a ~$15 "taxi" ride (which they usually rip you off depending how "touristy" you look). Not good in regards to distance. The hotel looked clean, but there were these tiny little ant-looking bugs that were pretty much everywhere. Didn't look like they bite, but they sure were over everything. Kind of gross, if you ask me. The hotel door to the room I stayed at didn't completely seal when shut, so that's probably why I had the bug issue. When looking at the big picture, I probably wouldn't go there again. Taking into consideration the potential taxi rides to and from the hotel, it's probably best to just stay at a resort instead.
