The hotel facilities are complete, the room has a great view, you can see the starry sky and sunrise, and overlook the entire crater. The hotel is old, and the shower is a bit slippery if you don't wear slippers. After sleeping for a night, there are two or three itchy bumps on my body. I'm not sure if there are bugs on the bed or I was bitten by some bugs outside. The food tastes good, but if you choose to pack a lunch box, don't have too high expectations.

The view was incredible from our room! We traveled with a Tauck Tour to Ngorongo, Serengeti and Zanzibar. Outstanding! Stairs presented a challenge for my husband, who has a bum knee, but there was an alternate ramp, he did not use. The dining area overlooks the crater, and Waterbucks walked by, right below the windows.

Beautiful location with a unique outdoor walking area that lets you feel closer to nature. Food was exceptional buffet style for most meals with courses including soup, salad, dessert. Beautiful views of the crater from most rooms. Be sure to lock your balcony though or the baboons will get in and leave a present in your bed.

We stayed at the lodge unfortunately for only one day. Wish we had more day, because this lodge is located in an excellent position on the edge of the crater rim. We had an excellent view from our room balcony. Make sure you get there early before sunset. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was good too.

We spent three nights at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. The hotel located on a hill guarantees a wonderful view of the crater. Fantastic room, restaurant and bar too. Excellent service also deserves recognition. The drive to the crater reserve is about 15 minutes, and here breathtaking views and a lot of animals. We highly recommend the hotel and reserve.

The beautiful Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, nestled into the top edge of the Ngorongoro Crater felt decadent after 5 nights of tent camping throughout Tanzania. Each room at the lodge shared stunning views of the expansive crater, allowing views of wildlife from the comfort of our private deck, or from the large, lovely lounge. We were delighted by the after-dinner "turn-down" service, as it included the placement of hot-water bottles at the foot of the bed. (Such a warm treat, causing me to purchase hot-water bottles for my bed at home). Nightly entertainment in the lounge included local talents such as acrobats and Maasai tribal dancers. Such a treat. Amazing assortment of tasty selections at each meal accommodate a wide array of dietary considerations. Laundry service handled quickly and efficiently.

This lodge is located on the top of the Ngorongoro crater, offering a fantastic view of the cratera below. All rooms do have a terrace facing the cratera down below. Breakfast menu and dinner are excellent quality and diversified. At dinner there was a presentation made by a Maaori group singing and dancing, when some guests also join in. Room is comfortable and so is it’s bathroom
