We booked this hotel without reading the reviews, once we had booked we checked them and was anxious about what we would be walking into. However we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and even allowed us to check in early and check out late. They were more than accommodating and very friendly throughout our whole stay. The rooms were exactly as described and the beds although firm were very clean and the pillows very comfortable. We saw in the reviews about overcharging and the €100 deposit but we didn’t encounter any of this. We would definitely stay here again as it was clean, comfortable and very close to the beach and train station. If there was anything to note it would be if you are in a ground floor room it can be very noisy as the street is right outside but that comes with staying so close to everything.

BE AWARE ! This hotel is a SCAM. They will CHARGE you TWICE. They will call it pre-authorization which they promose to cancel when you check out, but, they never do it. I paid 199 EURs (196 EUR + 3 EUR city tax) on the counter yet they sent two pre-authorization (148 EUR + 48 EUR) and charged my card. When I enquired at the counter, they said, it will be canceled as is not a charge. It reflected in my credit card statement and my bank confirmed it as charged, but they don't refund nor respond to you. That's how they make money. By stealing from your credit cards !!

The hotel is using pictures probably from very many years ago, it is now old and probably not refurbished for a long time, has a really strong unpleasant smell and no lifts so you might carry your luggage up the stairs, one of the staff was very kind to offer to bring my luggage up very much appreciated it. The bathroom has a funny drainage system and risk of flooding the room is high, definitely not a long stay place and as its costly i wouldn’t recommend, towels sometimes have stain and they do ask for €100 security deposit at check in to be given back at checkout that you will probably never get back ever, they never refunded mine, i wouldn’t recommend this place but if you must bring air freshener and ear plugs and be ready to part with €100 in the name of deposit

I stayed at the hotel on December 18-19.2023. In addition to paying for the room, I paid a guarantee of 100 €. It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten my money back! Terrible service. No reponse to emails or phone calls.

We had a reservation for this hotel booked well in advance, without advance payment. Nearer the trip, the hotel started to complain about my credit card, stating that the verification doesn't go through. The hotel wouldn't take another card for the reservation and ended up cancelling the whole thing. My card worked in four other French cities during my trip, and also in every place in Nice. I checked with my bank and there are no logs about this place ever actually trying to verify the card. As the room prices had almost doubled between the initial reservation and the verification deadline, I am thinking this was a price pump scam to get better price for the same room.

We stayed for 2 nights (2 adults + 1 kid) Positives: Walking distance from Nice Ville Lot of supermarkets and discount stores nearby Staff was courteous to give us hot water kettle. However when we requested for our room to be cleaned, we were repeatedly told that the cleaning lady (only one I understand) is busy making other rooms and is not free. Ultimately the room was cleaned at 5:00pm which was not a pleasant experience. Negatives: Very very basic hotel. Not at all fancy. Very small rooms, small washrooms, no lifts, cramped staircases and corridors. There was hardly any air circulation. Some of the washroom fittings (WC/basin) were also broken. Quite far (2.5km / 30 mins walk) from Old Town Nice where all the action in the night is. Around the hotel, most things shut by 8pm itself so nothing much to do. During our visit there was some renovation work going on hence even the dining area was not operational

Vraiment malheureux d'arriver dans un endroit qui se dit "Hôtel" mais qui n'a rien d'un hôtel mais plutôt d'un motel de passe.... Je ne suis pas du genre à regarder les avis mais plutôt à me fier à mon intuition. En regardant les photos, je n'aurais jamais imaginé arriver dans un endroit pareil. Le premier sentiment que j'ai ressenti en arrivant, c'est une insécurité, une atmosphère désagréable surtout quand on se rend compte qu'en fait l'endroit n'a rien à voir avec les belles photos de Booking ! Un réceptionniste très désagréable et qui ne propose même pas son aide à des personnes âgées pour monter leurs valises alors qu'il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et des escaliers très étroits.. Arriver dans la chambre, même pas envie de se coucher dans le lit ou de mettre nos pieds à terre sur la moquette de peur d'attraper quelque chose... Obligé de prendre une douche en claquette... Merci au réceptionniste ou peut importe ce qu'il peut être pour cet "hôtel" après plusieurs manque de respect de sa part envers nous jeunes femmes, de nous avoir "gentillemment" proposer de nous CASSER de SON hôtel et qu'on serait REMBOURSER (j'attend toujours!), grâce à vous nous avons pu nous libérer d'une insécurité et d'une insalubrité sans noms et avons trouver un magnifique hôtel qui nous a acceuilli comme il se doit, dans un endroit Safe, Friendly, propre et chaleureux ! Un conseil, si vous chercher quelque chose de convenable sur Nice optez directement pour minimum un 3 étoile !
