What a gem of a hotel. Beautiful room with lots of extra treats in! Comfy bed & the staff so helpful & polite. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice. Just a short walk in to the city. Would definitely return with added benefit of restaurant & pudding on site

Had my wedding there and whilst the place (as a whole) looks fantastic and the servers were wonderful the organisation, communication and the poor state of The Nest ( told this was bridal suite) was shocking. No wedding coordinator on the day, room was shabby at best, lost mothers bouquet and a couple of gifts. My son had an apartment that had an issue with the lock, spoke to hotel reception, and nothing was done. He ended up barricading himself in to feel safe. When you think we had met their minimum spend and booked 5 rooms for the night before and 9 of the night of our wedding, we were hoping for a magical time but this certainly left a sour taste in out mouths.

Went for lunch with friends extremely disappointed!! Everything I asked for on menu they hadn’t got bearing in mind it was 12-15 😂 we ended up ordering the 2 sharing boards available , they were awful hard sough dough that could break your teeth ! Dried dumber and carrot sticks not sure when they were cut! Tasteless plums and dried figs !!! I would not recommend this place far better places to spend your money!

Spacious, bright and clean room. Professional and friendly service. Delicious breakfast! Pouched egg was served to perfection every time. Thank you very much! Our room nr 15 was from the front of the hotel above the restaurant. We did slept like at home. Especially with a little music coming from the restaurant, made us feel relaxed. It was a bit noisy in the hallway when other guests came back from the restaurant at night, but it was not the hotel's fault, other customers don't care about others! And little downside for us was the lighting in the room. Maybe in other rooms it is different but in our room there was only one lamp available, very bright and lots ceiling lighting. It was impossible to change the atmosphere in the room for a little cosy one because of this. So it was either very bright or dark. But overall we enjoyed the stay. We recommend it and definitely will come again when in Norwich. Ps. Remember to repair the shower ;)

Still waiting for a response from management in respect of our dreadful experience at this hotel. We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and so could hear music when we went to bed , were kept awake by the heat from the radiator next to the bed which was faulty and wouldn’t turn off and then when we finally got to sleep we were woken up by the crashing of bottles being recycled at 7am. We reported the radiator issue and then went to explore Norwich. Needless to say the radiator wasn’t fixed for our second nights stay, our room wasn’t serviced, no fresh towels etc , which again I spoke to reception about but sadly the people working here are young and inexperienced and obviously not trained in providing good hospitality. We loved Norwich but will stay elsewhere when we return.

After two recent disappointing Premier Inn experiences, this was exactly what I wanted from a hotel! A lovely old building with actual radiators instead of noisy heating vents and windows which can be opened more than half an inch - wonderful! I also really appreciated having quite a thin duvet as I usually find hotel duvets far too warm. Lovely traditional decor in the room and the bathroom. Friendly staff and very reasonable price, especially when booking using a Jan/Feb special offer. I didn't have breakfast or dinner, just a drink and some sweet potato fries in the adjoining pub one evening. The atmosphere and decor in the bar were again very pleasant, although the music was too loud especially considering there weren't many people in. My one small gripe about the room is that it could do with another/a different lamp. There was only one lamp on one side of the bed, and its design meant that it was both too bright and too dark! It cannot be angled, so the bulb points directly at the floor meaning that one patch of carpet is very bright but the rest of the room is in darkness. It is absolutely no use for reading in bed, and even if just wanting more subdued lighting when watching TV, the enormous bulb protrudes out of the bottom of the lampshade and reflects in the dressing table mirror. I ended up watching TV with the main room lights on, but when looking up towards the TV, these are very bright and glaring in your eyes. This is a minor complaint. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily stay again.

The 2 nights for the price of one in January was the most amazing value I have ever come across We stayed in one of the apartments across the road from the main hotel. It had a small kitchen which meant we did not have one of their fabulous breakfasts in the restaurant. We don't eat much so perfect for making our own. With a Nespresso machine, a toaster, fridge and even a washing machine, had I known it was going to be this good I might have booked 4 nights instead of 2 and brought all my washing. Lots of parking spaces despite various events on at the hotel, and easy walking distance into the town centre. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom huge the whole area warm and cosy. Love the fact they had a radio. So good we booked another 2 nights at one of their other locations. Just one negative. The toilet was positioned next to a large window which didn't have frosted glass so if you didn't have the blind drawn all the time you were on full view to everyone passing. Definitely come again.

We stayed here off the back of a recommendation from one of our daughter’s Uni friends. We booked bed & breakfast in a cosy room. The room, despite its name, was well appointed with plenty of space and good storage and very importantly clean. We loved the decor which gave the room a cosy feel. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge is a very useful addition and the fresh milk was appreciated. The location of the hotel is fantastic and only took us 5 minutes or so to walk through the park across the road to the market area of the city. The hotel is located on a busy road and we had a front room but we weren’t impacted by traffic noise, even with our window open. We arrived early on Saturday afternoon and even though there was a wedding, we still got a car park and parking wasn’t an issue at all over the weekend. We are big fans of breakfast/brunch so it was definitely going to make or break our stay! We were not disappointed. The breakfast is superb. The menu has a fantastic range of options catering for all diets and the staff checked with us at each sitting if we had any allergies (we don’t!). Our daughter joined us for breakfast and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The staff in the dining room were friendly and attentive (checking with us that all was ok with our food) without being overbearing. In fact, all the staff we came across in the hotel were friendly. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to our next trip to Norwich.
