Gaia Villas

From the moment we stepped into Gaia Villas in Zanzibar, it felt like a little paradise. The stunning swimming pool and beautiful surroundings made our stay truly special. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast options every morning, and the rooms were amazing—comfortable beds and high-quality mattresses. Tanya, the owner, made our stay incredible, taking care of everything we needed. She even recommended a diving experience, which turned out to be an unforgettable adventure. As a family, we felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout our stay. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from an amazing beach. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at Gaia Villas and enjoyed every moment! The villa was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – a special mention to Issayah, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. From arranging transport and tuk-tuks to preparing breakfast a little earlier for our dive trips, they truly made our stay effortless. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach, and if you’re diving with Spanish Dancer Divers, you can take a shortcut through a nearby hotel, making it only a 5-minute walk. After our dives, we loved relaxing by the pool, which we almost always had to ourselves. The breakfasts were the best we had in Zanzibar – always fresh and delicious. From amazing bread and breakfast burritos to fresh fruits, juices, and excellent coffee, it was the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to Tania for the excellent communication throughout our stay! Gaia Villas is ideal for couples or small groups. The location is also great, with small shops nearby offering fair prices, a money changer close by, and tuk-tuks readily available. We’d highly recommend Gaia Villas for anyone visiting Nungwi!

This accomodation was an option in a package deal with Spanish Dancer Divers. Really nice boutique hotel, very friendly staff and an awesome breakfast (the shashuka is 10+/10). Comfortable bed. Pool area is really calming. Walking distance from the beach and dive shop (approx 5 min). Overall really nice place to stay, would definitly stay again!

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, due to a rather noisy neighborhood. But as soon as you enter, this place is Z-E-N. An incredible serenity emanates from the vegetation surrounding a central swimming pool. 1000 to 1500 m², that's all, but structured with so much love and patience that it feels much larger. The relaxation here is complete. No lunch or dinner but an excellent breakfast with homemade bread of a quality impossible to find elsewhere. The hostess is welcoming and kind - when my son had an anxiety attack, she naturally offered to take us to the clinic and waited for more than an hour in her car until we came out. Tanya and the staff here are so nice. The rooms are set around the pool which is quite nice. The place feels like a jungle with all the trees and flowers around it. It is very soothing to the soul. The room was really nice with a super, comfortable bed, and lovely toiletries. The breakfasts are really good as well.

This is a beautiful property in Nungwi. We had a 2 room villa which was big enough for three adults. The host Tania and everyone working at the villas are all super friendly and made our stay special. It is very close to beach and there’s a small pool in the hotel. The garden is heavenly and breakfast is really good. We recommend to everyone to stay at this place
