Room 2 - Very nice and clean room, a short 3 minute walk into town. Comfortable bed, plenty tea and coffee. Coffee machine available with pods. good correspondence with Liam Parking spaces available but are first come. Would recommend first a few night trips

I recently stayed at the Raniven Guesthouse in Oban, and overall, the experience was quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were both modern and clean, which was a big plus. The bed was comfortable, and everything else in the guesthouse was in good order. However, there were some issues with accessing the property. There was no check-in information provided in advance, which caused some frustration. Upon arrival, there was no in-person check-in available. When we tried to contact the guesthouse directly for assistance, the person on the phone was quite unfriendly and not helpful at all. Apparently, our travel agency did not provide us with the code for the key box. Nevertheless, the response during the call was rather unprofessional. Additionally, no information was provided regarding the check-out process, so we ended up just leaving the key in the key box when we left. In summary, while the guesthouse itself is comfortable and well-maintained, the customer service could definitely be improved.

The accommodation is very convenient to the town of Oban within walking distance. Room 5 is a big room, nice linen with a comfortable bed & furnishings. It has a lovely bathroom. It's in a quiet area & we had no problem parking our car in the spaces provided
