Hikage Onsen

Although it is an old building, it was well cleaned. Despite the small number of employees, they were meticulous. The food is exceptionally delicious. The open-air bath is truly a hidden hot spring!

It was my second visit. There is nothing around, and it is a hidden inn. Meals can be served in a private room, and many hot springs can be reserved for private use, so it's perfect for those who want a quiet environment. I would like to visit again and again.

The room and futon smell like an old man. I've stayed here several times, and there are some rooms that have this smell that bothers me. Even Febreze can't remove it. I'm concerned about whether the linen is washed properly. Also, after paying the bill and drinking coffee, there was no one there when I left, so I took my shoes out of the shoe rack in the back and went home. It seems like they are only concerned about welcoming you. Is this also the case in special rooms? I read a review that day-trippers seem to only take care of guests, but that's not the case. I think it's standard to feel casual on the way home. It's a shame because the bathroom is great.

It was closed shortly after I visited 8 years ago and reopened in 2017 under a new company. I visited again for a day trip bath. It has been beautifully renovated and the rooms are modern and luxurious. The bath in the bathroom has a bathtub of about 41 degrees and a sleeping bath. The open-air bath was slightly hotter at 43 degrees. The spring quality is a sulfur-containing, sodium-chloride hot spring that is slightly heated and fed directly from the source. The bathroom and open-air bath felt nostalgic, almost the same as in the old days. It was a good hot water that is effective for the body with sulfur ingredients. I absorbed a little too much hot springs and felt tired from the hot springs. It seems that the sulfur content has become a little thicker than before by excavating a new source. It was a good hot spring with a free-flowing source standing in the mountains of Yatate Pass.

I visited by car from Tokyo. It was a wonderful hot spring inn that far exceeded my imagination. In my travels so far, I haven't found a place that is much better than it looks in the photos. I've been to Nozawa Onsen and Shima Onsen Sekizenkan, but I was able to soak comfortably in the three types of hot springs. In addition, the food was more than I expected and I was impressed. When I hear about dishes that make use of local ingredients, I get a rustic image, but everything is ingenious, and I was more impressed than a Hakone cuisine ryokan. Because the inn is in the mountains, we were sometimes worried about insects, but even though it was old, it was clean and I was able to spend a comfortable time. It was my first family trip in two years, but I was able to create the best memories. Thank you very much.

この冬大雪の日景温泉、雪景色も大変趣きがあって素敵です。 建物は、昭和の懐かしさを、古さを感じさせないよう、リニューアルしている感じで、温泉との雰囲気も合っています。 その温泉は、硫黄の匂いが強く、白濁色、塩を感じる、とても好きな泉質です。 大浴場の雰囲気と露天風呂から見える雪景色、肩の力が抜けます。 しかし、残念なことの方が多かったように思います。 口コミは高いですが、高いホスピタリティーは、感じません。 まず、お部屋は和洋室で、ベットのお部屋は、子供がいるので、２つのベットをくっつけてもらいましたが、和室の部屋に、お布団がど真ん中に敷かれており、座る事も出来ず、これから2泊するのに邪魔だった為、不要である事を伝えたところ、『その辺に、隅に寄せておいてください』と言われました。え？私達が？自分で？隅に寄せた所で、ベットマットの布団の為折り畳む事も出来ず、場所もとりますので、邪魔なんです。 結局、自分達で、重い思いをして、隣の部屋まで運び、押し入れに片づけました。 ここの貸切風呂は、1日2回時間を選ぶ事が出来ますが、連泊の為、日中は日帰りのお客様がいても、空いている時間があるので、空いている場合は、入っても良いですか？と聞いたところ、『お断りしています。』と。 食事は、本当に普通。小鉢にきれいに盛られていますが、言葉が悪いですが、スーパーの惣菜？と感じるレベルで、楽しみにしていたので残念。 大雪のせいか、2泊目夜から帰るまで大浴場のシャワーが使えなくなりましたが、帰る際に、責任者から謝罪もなく… 帰る時には、誰からも見送られず、夫は、『さっぱりしているね。』と。
