Ours was a family trip, the structure was very beautiful and welcoming, the cleanliness of the room was perfect, the staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was super abundant and very varied, there was everything from savory to sweet, highly recommended.

First time to Croatia, what a lovely experience. The staff where very friend and helpful. The team on reception were always smiling. Made us feel welcome. We were half board plus so we had breakfast and dinner. We also ate lunch in the bar, and the outside cafe , food good value for money and delicious. The room was lovely, had a lovely sea view. Also the rep lady . Was very attentive and so helpful on booking our tours , which were amazing. The only thing I'd highlight is that the deck chairs and parasols where €25 a day. Which I think as hotel costumers should be included.

I am a tour leader for South African groups coming to Croatia every year and we always finish our tours in Opatija. We have been coming to Hotel Istra for a long time now and I would definitely say, Hotel Istra is the best 3-star hotel in Opatija. After the hotel have been completely done over a few years ago, it has transformed and the stylish new rooms with a wonderful restaurant and swim area, makes this hotel great value for money without loosing out on quality. I want to thank the reception team on arrival for making it a smooth and effortless group check-in and I also want to thank restaurant manager - Mrs Milena for going the extra mile to accommodate my group and to specially make struki for our fairwell group dinner on the last evening......... Hotel Istra is well located, well maintained and overall a wonderfull hotel to stay in if you visit the beautiful town of Opatija...... Thank you Hotel Istra Team! A lovely clean and friendly hotel. The views were spectacular. A wide variety of well cooked food, with healthy options available. Additional options such as lactose free milk was a bonus. All hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the free pool activities, such as SUP yoga and aqua cycling with the lovely Anna. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Particularly as some of the activities were new to us. She's an asset to the hotel

We recently stayed at Hotel Istra Opatija for a fallbreak getaway, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The breakfast buffet was abundant and offered a wide variety of options. The bar also served excellent cocktails and delicious meals. Our room was spacious, and the facilities were in line with the money we spent. However, what truly stood out for us was the range of sports activities included in the hotel's services. This was the primary reason for choosing this hotel, and it didn't disappoint. We had the pleasure of meeting the trainer, Ana, who was brimming with energy and positive vibes. She tailored the activities perfectly to our fitness levels and needs. Usually, we don't spend much time in the hotel while on vacation, but this time it was almost impossible to leave because we were so well-entertained on the premises. Even the less-than-ideal weather didn't bother us, as the hotel had so much to offer. In summary, if you plan to visit Opatija, you absolutely must stay at Hotel Istra.
