GGuest UserBreakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value
AAnonymous UserLocation: Facing the street, across the street is Queens College Stadium. Turn left when you go out and walk for 15 minutes to the gate of Christ Church College, which is a little far.
Facilities: Because it is a small hotel converted from a residential building, the facilities are relatively simple and cannot be compared with big hotels.
WWEIQINGThe hotel is a little bit away from downtown Oxford. If you are driving, you can choose here. Free parking, breakfast is good, clean and hygienic, good service attitude
GGuest UserThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure, temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.
GGuest UserFantastic place for a quiet stay within a 25-minute walk of Oxford city centre. The accommodation is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making it a truly relaxing retreat. We had to be up early in the morning, but the location was very quiet. Mandy who assisted us with check in was incredibly professional and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. Highly recommend this gem.
AAnonymous UserGood location, near Oxford centre and St Clements where all the restaurants and bus stops are. Didn't get the check in details so had to phone up to obtain them. Check in was easy once I got the details. The room had everything you need - fridge, iron, microwave, desk, chair. Bathroom was super small though.
LLaurenI was in the Red Room which had the most fabulous view over Jesus College. The set up worked really well. The bathroom was a bit mouldy in some areas and the arrival instructions were confusing. Worth all that to get the view and location.
BButingxidelvxingThe hotel is located in Summertown, a relatively wealthy area in Oxford. The town is beautiful and you can walk to Oxford in 30 minutes. There is a bus to Oxford Station at the hotel entrance. The hotel facilities and sanitation services can only be said to be average, because it is cheap
GGuest UserThis is one of the worst experiences I have had on this trip. Let's say it first: the bed is still relatively large and comfortable, the bathroom is large; the public kitchen provides essential supplies. Bad: 1. On the back of the train station, far from the city center, because of the road construction near the train station, there is no bus to the city center, all by walking, the traffic is inconvenient; 2. Don't be fooled by the townhouse, it is an ordinary residence. The room is small and there is basically no place after the two suitcases are opened. 3. The soundproofing of the room is too bad, and the sound of walking upstairs is clear until midnight.
Alas 😮💨
GGuest UserThe house has a relatively large backyard, which can park several cars. Since we rented a car and drove around the UK, we had to find a yard where we could park. It is close to Oxford University and you can walk there. The surrounding environment is very quiet and the room is very clean. We are a family of three and three beds are very convenient.
