"The bus takes 25 minutes to the center of Oxford. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Oxford, near the ordinary residential area. It is very safe and convenient. There is Subway across the road and three bus stops within 200 meters.
The hotel is very old, and a small piece of the wall paint in the toilet of the room I stayed in fell off. However, the sanitation is good, no insects or obviously unclean places were found, the spider webs were also cleaned, and the bathtub and shower were working properly.
It is very suitable for one or two people to travel. In the peak tourist season, the hotel of 900 RMB is one of the few affordable options for overnight stay in Oxford."
"The location is first class and the service is very good, but the old house does not have an elevator.
Relying on the core commercial street, extremely convenient at the same time, it is a bit noisy at night.
No air conditioning, no problem with the current temperature. The ventilation in the bathroom needs to be improved."
"I was in the Red Room which had the most fabulous view over Jesus College. The set up worked really well. The bathroom was a bit mouldy in some areas and the arrival instructions were confusing. Worth all that to get the view and location."

"This is a hotel converted from an old castle prison. It is very innovative. There are two types of rooms. One is a room converted from two cells, and the other is a normal room. The window of the room converted from the cell is a small upper window like in the prison. The normal room I booked has a balcony. It depends on everyone's preference. The room has a coffee machine and a towel heating rod. The shower room is small and the button area is large, but it takes some skills to press it. The first time I pressed it for a long time, it didn't trigger. The air conditioning in my room was slightly insufficient, but the hotel service staff actively solved the problem. The overall service was very warm and thoughtful, sharing town maps and so on, so despite the slight inconvenience, I still like the style and service of this hotel. The breakfast is also good, and the black pudding is awesome. In addition, some rooms have stairs in addition to the elevator. If you have large luggage, you can try to contact the hotel to use the small elevator, as shown in the last picture"
"The hotel is a little bit away from downtown Oxford. If you are driving, you can choose here. Free parking, breakfast is good, clean and hygienic, good service attitude"
"The room is OK, there is a sign telling us that the toilet paper is better at the front desk! Sanitation cleaning is a bit fooled! Other equipment is complete!"
"Surprised that the cleanliness is very satisfactory, especially the local water source is hard water, the bottom of the boiling water bottle can not see the water stain, the bath screen is also a little water stain, the boss is a responsible clerk, and free parking is a highlight."
"The hotel is newly renovated, the room is very clean, it is very close to the COACH station in London, there is a road for 2 minutes, there are various restaurants nearby, it is very convenient! ! !"
"Why give full marks, first we arrived, there are staff enthusiastically help us with luggage, we live on the 3rd floor, the room is large up and down, the front desk staff is very warm to help us park, breakfast is free and paid, pay attention, If you don’t choose breakfast on the order, don’t be afraid. He also has breakfast for everyone. It is bread ham cheese milk coffee tea juice. This is free. The location is very convenient. It takes 8 minutes to walk to Christ College, which is the Harry Potter Magic Canteen. Go to the Ashmolean Museum within 15 minutes. Super convenient! The picture is a two-point paid breakfast, 13 yuan."
"I played in Oxford for two days, because it was three people, so the choice was not so much, so I decided to make it. The room was clean and tidy, but the faucet was leaking, and the chandelier inside was also bad. There was a door in the room that could not be closed. But in general, the price is reasonable, the location is convenient, two minutes walk to the city center, the train station is less than ten minutes, but the hotel entrance is very small, on the street, you must carefully look at the signs posted at the door to find, service staff Is a little brother, very good attitude, but also help with luggage. If you are pursuing a good environment, it is not recommended, but if you travel short distances and many people, it is okay."

Great
WWil~MCYHaving stayed at the Holiday Inn Oxford on three separate occasions now, I can wholeheartedly say it is a truly outstanding hotel and has become my firm favourite whenever I visit the area. Each stay has been consistently excellent, exceeding my expectations every time.
From the moment you walk in, the check-in process is always smooth, efficient, and handled by genuinely friendly and welcoming staff. They make you feel valued right from the start.
The rooms are consistently spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. The beds are incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep after a busy day exploring Oxford or working. The bathrooms are modern and clean, and the overall room maintenance is clearly a high priority. I've always found the rooms to be quiet, providing a peaceful environment.
What truly sets this Holiday Inn apart, in my experience, is the exceptional level of service across the board. Every staff member I've encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant team, has been professional, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.
The hotel's facilities are great, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of tasty options to start the day right. The location is also very convenient, offering easy access without the stress of navigating the very centre of Oxford, especially if you are driving.
Based on my repeated positive experiences, I cannot recommend the Holiday Inn Oxford highly enough. It offers reliable comfort, fantastic service, and great value. It's clear they take pride in their hotel and their guests' satisfaction. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on my future trips to Oxford!
GGuest UserJunior suite perfect for family stay!
A two room accommodation with kings size bed in one room and sofa bed in the other room.
Dining table and chairs really helped a lot with room service meals.
Restaurant meals also good quality and good value.
View is of construction site but it was over the weekend so not noisy.
Great stay and recommend the room as a larger family room if the rooms with the two double beds leave no space for cots or prams.
GGuest Userthe hotel is quite and in a lovely location .
The rooms are nice very comfortable beds and bedding with spacious modern bathrooms.
The room Ihad was unfortunately lacking a view as it was overlooking the aircon units .
The front of house staff were excellent and went over and above to ensure I had a nice stay .
The only downside I felt and feedback was that the bar /resturant area lacked any atmosphere the bar is unmanned there’s no encouragement to utilise the area and you feel that’s it not to be used so i often drank and ate elsewhere.
hence the 4/5
GGuest Uservery nice boutique hotel with a good bar and restaurant below. The room nice, clean, minimalist but good furniture and decent shower. Only one complaint - if you are not a fan of capsule coffee (and I am definitely not) and you just want a cup of tea, it's a pain to have to google the coffee machine to work out how to use it when just a simple kettle would have been fine. Just 4 for the location because of the chaos at the Botley road bridge which is going on till this time next year at least! Lovely breakfast menu with good service.
GGuest UserReally cannot believe that a smaller room with low ceiling and small windows was given, so had to return to reception and ask for the correct category of room, but was told that the room booked is under maintenance, only different room was available now. After hours of waiting, the correct room was finally given. Funny thing was that when browse the hotel website, there are still same rooms available. Why such common tricks would have happened this luxury hotel?
GGuest UserIt’s not really a hotel, but more like a B&B with some hotel like features. Moving up the luggage to the room on the top floor was rather inconvenient although the receptionist,Alex, was very helpful. Breakfast was ok, but since there isn’t a restaurant in the accommodation, you’ll have to drive out to find food beyond breakfast. Besides the receptionist Alex, I didn’t quite get a warm feeling when we encountered the hosts, which is unusual given our experience in other cities in the UK so far. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
GGuest UserThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure, temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.
(( ͡° ᴥ ͡°)The hotel offered excellent value for the price, with a convenient location surrounded by numerous shops and takeout options. The reception area featured handy vending machines, and the view from our room was quite pleasant.
AAisyahhhThis hotel is good. Very nice and helpful receptionist. The room is clean. since they do not have the elevators, they offered me ground floor room. Overall is ok for budget hotel. Also you have to pay for the prking ticket.
AAsiyah Yu LinThis hotel is just next to the Queen's Lane bus stop. Oxford Tube, and the mega bus stop there. Therefore it is very convenient to go out and into Oxford. It is close to the University as well.
The only inconvenience is that there are steps everywhere, from the entrance to the reception, and to my room. This probably a general problem with old buildings in UK. Otherwise no other complains about the service.
The bedding are very conformable - this is definitely a highlight.
The average price for hotels in Oxford is DKK 1,526 on weekdays, and DKK 1,570 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
