"Exceptional Luxury with Thoughtful Tech and Standout Service I recently stayed at the Dorsett Gold Coast, and it was an outstanding experience. The level of detail across the property is highly visible, making for a stay that feels both premium and personalized. A Seamless Arrival The check-in experience set a fantastic tone. We were warmly greeted and offered welcome drinks at the Jin Café & Bar, which was a lovely touch. While we navigated the parking, the porter took our luggage directly to our room, allowing us to settle in stress-free. Speaking of parking, while it is $20 per night, it is worth every cent for the convenience. The ”in and out” process is incredibly seamless because the staff enters your registration number into the system, so you never have to worry about tickets or delays. Standout Service: Special Thanks to Sona The service here is truly top-tier. I want to give a huge mention to Sona at reception, who was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. Her professionalism and warmth were much appreciated. Furthermore, the speed of the reception service for any phone requests was impressive—they are lightning-fast. The ”Smart” Room Details The room design features some ”genius” touches that I haven't seen elsewhere: * The Smart Mirror: The bathroom mirror has a specialized coating so that even after a steaming hot shower, a specific section remains perfectly clear. * Auto Night Light: The bathroom has an automatic night light that activates on its own—perfect for navigating at night without fumbling for switches. * The in room switches was also very thoughtful and unique, for the first time experienced such. * The Chromecast casting tech was great as you can stream what you like. Dining & Relaxation The pool area is absolutely fancy and stunning—a perfect spot to lounge. We also enjoyed the hearty buffet breakfast at the Star Grand; it’s a great spread, though I’d love to see a few more vegetarian varieties added to the hot selection. Constructive Feedback To make the experience truly 5-star across the board, there are two areas for improvement: * In-Room Appliances: The hairdryer and iron felt quite basic and didn't really match the premium, high-tech vibe of the hotel. * Poolside Dining: While the pool itself is beautiful, the restaurant menu there is very limited and almost negligible. More food variety by the water would be a big plus. Overall, a fantastic stay. Between the tech, the parking ease, and the wonderful service from Sona, I would definitely recommend the Dorsett!"

"This place was amazing. It is right on the beach and fantastic views. I am dealing with a physical condition and the spa and sauna at the Vue was exactly what I needed. It is close to many other places. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 10 out of 5!! I highly recommend you stay here!! You won’t regret it."

"I think that this is our 5th or 6th time at the Meriton, Broadbeach. We always stay at the Meriton, Broadbeach, now.  It’s central to everything at Surfers Paradise, and it is an excellent facility for our needs. Thanks very much for the upgrade, this time. Greatly appreciated 👍👍👍"

"I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I accidentally booked a same-night reservation because I was comparing room types in a new tab and forgot to change the dates. I realised the mistake immediately, submitted a cancellation request, and even called the hotel that evening to let them know I wouldn’t be arriving so they could release the room to other guests. Despite this, I was charged the next day. When I called again, the manager said their policy requires 24 hours’ notice and claimed they “could not use the room for other reservations,” even though I had informed them the night before. I have stayed in many hotels, and this is honestly one of the least flexible experiences I have come across. Very disappointing customer service and not understanding at all."

"A spacious and modern apartment with sea view is the right way to enjoy a family holiday in Gold Coast. The two rooms do not disturb each other, and the living room, dining room and kitchen are open. After a day of playing, you can lie on two double sofas like Ge You, relaxing and comfortable. The sea view is not satisfactory, after all, there is a certain distance, and there are many buildings in between. In fact, you don't have to spend money on the sea view. If you want a first-line sea view, you still have to choose a hotel next to the beach. In addition, there is a construction site next to it during the stay. After the work starts at 8 o'clock in the morning, you can hear a little noise. The sound insulation of the room is good. The facilities are complete, the shower is powerful, the air conditioning is sufficient, the TV has Disney+ and Netflix, and the washing machine and dryer in the independent laundry room are very convenient. You can use the induction cooker to make a simple instant noodle supper, and it is also good to throw the pots and bowls into the dishwasher after eating. Parking is convenient. Each apartment room has a corresponding underground parking space. You can swipe the room card to open the garage door and the garage elevator goes directly to the beach. It takes five minutes to walk to the beach, but Broadbeach is really broad. The sea is vast in the early morning and evening, and the sky is high. Once you put the baby on the beach, the whole family will not get tired of playing on the beach all the time. For breakfast, you can walk to the cafe on the main road 100 meters away. The convenience store is a little far away, so we usually go to the big supermarket near oasis to buy. In terms of disadvantages, the daily cleaning is rather casual, and the floor is not even swept, just making the bed and changing the towels. In addition, there is a pillow in the master bedroom, which is probably because the previous guest's dog urinated on it and it was not cleaned. It always smells a bit of urine, which is a minus point. The price-performance ratio is OK, and Ctrip booking is cheaper than booking, thumbs up."

"The actual place once we got settled was pretty good. The only issue that we really had was that the kitchenette was not clean enough. There were little tiny bug/ants that came out onto the counters every morning, or whenever we’d leave the counter unattended for a while. The utensils in the kitchen weren’t cleaned properly and we had to use boiling water to clean everything before using them. When we arrived we had to wait for the room to be finished, which we didn’t mind at all it was only a 10 min wait, but they had sprayed this air refresher so much that when we went inside we couldn’t get the smell out for an hour or two even w the balcony door open and the fans running. Other than that the bed, air conditioning, TV and rest of the amenities were good. The location was just perfect and super close to the beach. And the staff were very friendly."

"Room and location all very nice, close to Broadbeach restaurants and beach. Some issues with room WiFi not working, but was able to use guest WiFi. Netflix in room not working but didn't bother to complain. Our room was West-facing, so no ocean view, but good late sun and sunset."

"Although it is a bit far from Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach Mart and cafes and food and beverage stores are convenient. There's a yogurt ice cream place on the first floor, which isn't bad, and there's a Starbucks. There is a playground about 200 meters away that is great for children. Since there were no curtains, I had to wake up at 6 o'clock... There is a construction site right next to it, so it is noisy. It's noisy at night because there are clubs nearby. It wasn't bad for a few days. The swimming pool was also great for kids to play in."
