"On arrival i had problem with incorrect bed size as per my reservation. The gentelman in reception and the gentelman who show me the alternative rooms were very kind and caring. Some more issues happened to: such as giving the wrong card for the room, had to come back and fix again. Dirty towels left in the room, fixed quickly. No water was available, that was fixed too. Although it sound bad, It did not bother me much. They were quick on actioning. Then, i have been told there were a mistake for the room again, i actually had the correct room reserved for me from the begining. But i was happy with the room i had, so, i did not change it. One thing i can say the water does not have enough pressure in the tab and shower head. These were some negative parts. Besides these, hotel generally very clean, AC working well, no flies or bugs or mosquitos. I would recommend this hotel for all, only possible registeration issues you might face."

"The rooms are spacious, clean, with kitchen and tableware, the front desk and room service are very good, polite and friendly. The front desk can help call a taxi, the price is slightly more expensive. The hotel's restaurant is delicious and there are other restaurants nearby. Walk along the beach to the right of the hotel for about 800 meters to the restaurant's concentrated place, and there is a surf school there (Barry's Surf school), it is worth trying. Everything is fine, I just hope the price is not so expensive."

"The hotel is located on st Lawrence gap which has a few clubs and restaurants. It can get quite noisy at night. If you opt for the sea view apartment you are less likely to hear the club on the opposite side of the road. The room itself is great, there is a kitchen where you can cook your breakfast and make tea, a working tap, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave. The balcony and the view is lovely. Woke up each morning looking out onto the blue water and blue skies! I went with my friend and so we had a double bed each which is very comfortable. The shower is a bit slow with water but if you run it for 3-4 minutes the water will get warm. We didn’t opt for the breakfast so cannot comment on what the food is like. Overall positive, my only complaint is beware when ordering taxi they quote in US dollars and not Barbadian dollars. The female receptionist misled me despite me asking her twice is the price quoted Barbadian dollar and she said yes. Then when we finished the taxi ride we were told it was in US dollar and not Barbadian dollars. I think that is a fundamental error by the receptionist and cost me unnecessarily. For that the hotel did not deserve a 5 star. In terms of location it is good but expect noise as you are directly opposite a nightclub called halo that is very noisy at the weekends especially the dj and his microphone shouting into it. The island is very small so everything is not far. It is worth hiring a car to get around the island otherwise the taxi fare will be expensive. A taxi fare from at Lawrence gap to the north of the island would cost you 120 Barbadian dollars one way. The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool and private chill out area and a restaurant to order drinks. Would I stay here again? Yes I think i would stay here again."

"The Hotel Maxwell del Mar was very comfortable and extremely well positioned. We had everything we needed and would definitely stay there again. Although the restaurant and bar are only open over the weekend, there are plenty of excellent other establishments very close by. Also the room is well equipped with a fridge, microwave oven and kettle so you can provide for yourself if you want a night in. The local beach, which is stunning, is Maxwell Beach and is only a very short walk from the hotel."

"Location is perfect, tons of restaurants and nightlife is lit in The Gap. Fifteen minutes away from airport. The room has good enough space with a terrace overlooking the pool. The restaurant located in hotel serves good food and drinks with friendly staff. Front desk was helpful with any questions or issues. Definitely recommend staying here if visiting Barbados."

"We had a wonderful stay at Southern Palms Beach Club (beach-view suite). The suite was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a kitchen with all the basic essentials and two bathrooms—making it incredibly convenient. While the interior had a more traditional, older style, everything was impeccably clean. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Their attentiveness and consistently positive attitude created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The vibe of the entire resort was laid-back and friendly, perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. A special highlight was the live music performances on some nights, which added a festive and memorable touch to our stay. Enjoying great music with the ocean breeze in the background made those evenings truly magical."

"Dover Beach hotel is a very adequate mid range choice. The rooms are large and cleaned to a high standard and the facilities are in keeping with a mid sized hotel. We found the reception staff in the main personable and friendly. Location for Lawrence Gap and the airport is good but a car is advisable if you want to visit the West side of the island.. All things considered we enjoyed our short stay at this hotel."
