Also, the tissue paper in the room wasn't individually wrapped, and when we told housekeeping we ran out, they just brought us a stack of loose tissues."

"Hotel is located in strategic location. It is very close to department store, walking street and metro station line 1. Hotel offers adequate breakfast and hot food. The room is comfy with big bathroom. The only downside of this hotel is no sound proof. I heard every noises from street horn, upstair, downstair and the worst of this trip was... my room is next to fire exit and house keeping room in the 3rd floor.
This was so so annoying and was interrupt with my sleep every night!!!"

"Considering it was May Day, this price was truly excellent! It's located in the Binhai North area, not a heavily touristy spot, but rather a 'rich' neighborhood known mostly to long-term Xiamen residents. There are many cafes and light music bars. It perfectly suited my foreign friend's needs, and the area is full of expats, though admittedly fewer than in previous years. My clients used to specifically request this hotel; I heard it was one of the first in Xiamen to host foreign guests. The hotel's front desk staff all spoke excellent English. The hotel itself had a charming 90s European/American film vibe, which I unfortunately forgot to photograph."

"Traveling with my elderly parents, safety and quietness were our top priorities. The hotel restaurant offered a rich breakfast buffet. It's located right on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, less than 200 meters from Metro Line 1. It offers great value for money. Xiamen is very friendly to seniors over 65, with free public transport (buses and metro) and free admission to attractions. The scenery is beautiful, and the girls are especially kind and pretty. Duan*chun from Xiamen University even showed us around the campus. Our trip to Xiamen was truly worthwhile and delightful! A big thank you to all the kind-hearted people we met in Xiamen!"

"I’m very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable—exactly what you need for a relaxing trip. Breakfast exceeded expectations with lots of choices and a different food selection each morning, so it never got boring.
The location is convenient, making it easy to get around. What really stood out were the little surprises: complimentary snacks and an eye mask delivered to our room—such a nice touch.
Even after checkout, the service remained top-notch. When we noticed all the sofas in the lobby were occupied, the front desk kindly brought us to the VIP lounge to rest. That kind of attentiveness is rare and much appreciated.
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who values comfort, variety, and genuine hospitality."

"This hotel is right by Lianhua Road subway station on Line 1, which makes getting around super convenient – the metro is right outside! The room facilities and amenities were pretty good, and the hotel even upgraded my room! So lucky, I was able to check in at 10 AM! The hygiene was excellent, and the room itself was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly, especially Eason at the front desk! All in all, a wonderful stay. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Xiamen!!"

WWan SuwanThe apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too.
The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay.
The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself.
Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open.
The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc.
In overall, this property is good & worth of money.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

I had booked a twin room, but the front desk attendant kindly upgraded me to a family suite for free. I extended my stay by another day, and it was in a different building. The staff member there was also very enthusiastic and personally escorted us to the new building. Overall, a great experience.

It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

The only thing is the price fluctuates quite a bit; it was 270 for two rooms on the first day, but 360 for two rooms by the third day. The soundproofing is usually good, but yesterday, May 20th, everyone might have been too excited because the room next door was a bit noisy. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The self-service egg-frying experience was especially enjoyable; you get to choose the eggs and control their doneness entirely on your own, making it both fresh and fun. Paired with porridge and their multigrain drinks, it was incredibly satisfying. The location is also impeccable, right next to the California Shopping Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient without any planning. Even better, parking is fantastic – plenty of spaces and easy access. Just register your license plate at the front desk and it's free, eliminating a major concern for those driving. Overall, the service was attentive, the environment clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. It's excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

The room, though not large, is very well designed and has all the necessary amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. Getting such a great B&B at this price was a pleasant surprise; it's excellent value for money. The customer service guy was also super nice, always responding promptly and patiently.
