"A nice affordable place to stay. The location is the best thing about the hotel. It's located in the middle of the city and you can go to the main attractions easily from the hotel. Also, I like the room service. They clean the room every day. They change the towels and wipe the room clean every day.
The downside is probably just the size of the room. We booked a room for 3 people, and while the room can accommodate 3 people, but it was just too cramped with all our stuffs ๐คฃ So yeah, the room is small, but everything aside, it was a decent stay!"

"This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. Previous visit was quite ok, however this time we were dissapointed with their cleanliness. Once we entered the room, the bedsheet and blankets were a bit smelly and there were yellowish color on them. Also, they forgot to refill the body soap inside the room. Although they did replace the dirty bedsheets and refilled the soap after making a request, but it shows how lacking they are in their cleanliness. Management needs to pay attention to this!"

"Came there to find out that my room has been cancelled. Their reason was because they are in partnership with OYO and a lot of rooms has been canceled by the โsystemโ so there were no rooms left for me to check in that day. They had already had a substitute hotel which I rejected.
I requested a refund in cash and they refused. They promised that the refund will be done via Trip app but when asked how does the refund work, no one could explain.
Finally I asked them again about the room availability because I was sure that they had at least a couple of rooms available. I told them that it was their responsibility to provide me with a room, even if the ones available are more expensive than what I have paid for.
Suddenly they apologised and told me that a room was available, exactly like the one I had paid for.
The rest of the stay was great.
I wish to come back and visit the hotel, hoping that such suspicious experience will not be repeated in my next visit."

One of the few hotels that serve good quality western wheat bread for breakfast.
Unfortunately, only sweet stuff such as jam, chocolate paste and peanut butter is served. Good quality wheat bread should be served with cheese, slices of cold meat and boiled eggs. Sweet stuff is for white bread.
There is an entrance from the hotel to the mall which is very convenient.
This hotel has a great lobby, lounge and bar area with a good atmosphere.
Live music performances are everyday in this area from 20.00 to 22.00.
For us, 22.00 is too early. By that time we return from dining outside. Hence, we would greatly appreciate it if the music performance is until 23.00.
The bathroom has a very good bathtub, excellent heated water and Pepsodent toothpaste.
The bedroom has two chairs, a fridge and good quality matresses."

"The bed is awful. Moved to different and it was the same. The staff was kind enough to find a different room with maybe different bed. But unfortunately, both room have bad beds...I stayed at different hotels in semarang on the same level as this one and they have GOOD bed/matras. Will I go back? NO"

OOn the earthThe room was a little small, but it was clean and well organized, making it comfortable enough for a short stay. The bed was cozy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which helped me relax after a long day outside. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It is very close to the shopping mall, so it was easy to find food, buy daily necessities, and enjoy some free time without traveling far. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions. Overall, despite the limited room size, I was satisfied with my stay and would consider coming back again.

SSharon PSKhas Hotel is located nearby city centre. I walked out from the hotel to the left I can go to Queen City Mall and to the right I can walk to Pollux Mall Paragon Semarang. Outside of the hotel, there are some local eateries during day time and night time. There's also a pharmacy called Apotek on the right after you walk out from hotel main entrance. There's a IndoMart opposite and the price was reasonable. Hence, very convenient. The cleanliness of hotel needs to be improved. There are some areas near clothing hanging area and bed side table quite dusty. I have to wipe it with my wet tissue. There were 2 lamps in the room one on the table in front of TV and one on the bedside table both were fitted onto the table, hence it made the space of table being blocked. The welcome drink served in a small shot glass and there was no water dispenser for hotel guest. The bathroom design was not good as after taking shower the water will flow out to the sink and toilet bowl area as the glass divider was too small to block the water from spilling out to the dry area. The shower head was fitted on top to the ceiling hence a bit hard to wash our body thoroughly. The water come down from our head directly. There was no way to adjust shower head as it was fixed onto the ceiling. Our room 318 was next to 3 Airconf compresser. Hence if other hotel guests on their Aircond, we can hear the noise so loud at night. The hotel offered a gift voucher for Grab app user but the front desk staff did not inform us. Only on our last night stay, we saw the gift voucher appeared in hotel in house TV screen outside of lobby lift. But too bad, I can no longer utilise the 10,000rp discount voucher although I being taking Grab for the past 4 days in Semarang. But hotel housekeeper was very helpful and same goes to the concierge also very friendly and helpful.

OOn the earthI have been staying at this hotel for a long time and it has always been one of my familiar choices whenever I visit the area. The location is convenient and the overall atmosphere still feels comfortable and welcoming. However, it is a bit unfortunate that the hotel is starting to show its age. Some facilities seem a little old compared to before.
Last night was slightly difficult because there was a loud fan or machine noise coming from outside, which made it a bit hard to sleep. I hope the hotel can check this issue because it could affect guests staying in nearby rooms.
Aside from that small inconvenience, my stay was generally satisfying. The staff were friendly as usual and the service was reliable. I still appreciate the comfort and memories I have had here over the years, and I hope the hotel will continue to maintain and improve its facilities in the future.

GGuest UserThe hotel facilities are a bit old, and the bathroom only has a bathtub. The soundproofing isn't great; you can hear motorcycles roaring down the street at night. However, the service is good. The hotel Wi-Fi can be a bit unreliable, and they only provide large bath towels, no face towels. The bedding also seems a bit old. On the bright side, the desk design is very clever and well-suited for working.

It's conveniently located on Gajah Mada Street in the heart of Semarang, close to the iconic Simpang Lima intersection. With plenty of restaurants nearby, it's super easy to get around for dining or sightseeing.

MMels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily โ absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฑ๐ฑ

3-day, 2-night experience at Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang
December 24 - 26, 2025
The location is strategic, close to Kota Lama Semarang, near the Great Mosque, and also close to shopping centers (Malls).
Initially, we planned to go as a group of 4, so we booked 2 deluxe twin rooms. It turned out that another niece wanted to join, so we requested an extra bed for one room. ************* We were upgraded to an executive room. It had one king bed and one single bed. The room was spacious with a city view directly at the intersection. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the executive room. ๐คญ.
Both rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. However, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't hot, and neither was the water in the sink.
For breakfast, the food menu was quite tasty and varied, but the restaurant was a bit small. We tried dinner at the cafe, and all the food we ordered tasted delicious, including the cakes.
The service from the security staff, front desk, and even the restaurant and housekeeping staff was very friendly, kind, and served guests wholeheartedly.
